Finished last of twelve on debut at Southwell in mid July (1m7½f good) after pulling hard early. Difficult to consider given her predominately Flat based pedigree.
Finished in the ruck on debut at Wetherby in February, but pulled up after dropping out in the rear on her sole other start at Market Rasen the following month. Unconvincing profile at present.
Twice raced half-sister to 2m-2m4f hurdle winner Vic's Last Stand and bumper winner Bedale Lane. Has left Micky Hammond since her last appearance on Boxing Day; a distant fourth of seven to Helmsley Lad.
Unraced filly by Beat Hollow out of and unraced dam (Clairefontaine). Fourth foal and a half-sister to 2m3f hurdle winner Normandy King. Stable representatives always command respect in bumpers and the market could prove informative.
Unraced filly by Kapgarde out of Louvisy. Cost €23,000 as a yearling, and her dam was a French hurdles/chase winner who was a half-sister to winners Kapga De Cerisy and Air De Cerisy. Stable always respected with runners in Carlisle bumpers.
Caught close home on debut at Huntingdon in February by Skewiff (form respectable), but probably not as strong in better races since. Of interest with the champion jockey booked in a weak contest, but far from bullet-proof.
Unraced filly by Presenting out of Sunwake who carries the Langdale Bloodstock silks. Cost €20,000 as a three-year-old, and is a first foal out of a 2m hurdle winner. Might be stronger for the experience, but the market will offer the best guide.
Twice raced Shirocco filly who is a half-sister to 2m5f hurdle winner Little Acorn. Not shown much ability so far and easy to back on her latest start. Stronger over further once sent hurdling.
Forecasts
Mary Eleanor (6/5), Hecla (4/1), Peters Cousin (9/2), Kapga De Lily (11/2), Whiteoak Stroller (14/1), Doctor Thea (25/1), Fleminator (25/1), Crisp Story (100/1)
Perhaps not the strongest of bumpers by Carlisle standards, with the Tom Lacey trained, Richard Johnson ridden Mary Eleanor having the best of the form of those who have raced so far. However, whilst she's respected, she doesn't appear overly progressive, so can be taken on with one of the newcomers. The market will provide the best guide, but the most obvious candidates include Hecla, Peters Cousin and KAPGA DE LILY. Venetia Williams has saddled bumper winners at this track in the recent past, and therefore, a preference is for her well-bred French filly.
- Kapga De Lily
- Hecla
- Mary Eleanor
