Seriously-progressive filly who won four handicaps in a row before finishing runner-up at Haydock last time off 28lb higher than for the first of her wins. Up another 1lb, but has to be given serious consideration.
Career-best display to win a 1m6f Newmarket handicap in July, but went up 3lb and was only sixth of nine at Goodwood last time. Off the same handicap mark and looks up against it.
Won a Newmarket handicap in June, last year, but three runs this time round have been disappointing. Can only be watched until she signals a return to form.
The second of two runners from this yard, she has performed well on her last two starts over 1m 4f. Steps up in trip, but shapes as though she will stay and warrants respect.
Showed stamina was her long suit when winning an ordinary Chester handicap at the beginning of last month, and two subsequent efforts off 3lb higher have seen her run quite well in defeat. Down 1lb, but may find one or two of these too speedy.
Has won three races on AW surfaces this year so it is no surprise that she can race off a lower mark on turf. Well beaten at Newmarket last time, however, and has plenty to do in a another good contest.
Off the mark when scoring over C&D in August, and two subsequent efforts, including a close second to Fire Jet, suggest she is still improving. Each-way claims.
Still a maiden after eight starts, but second on her last three runs, albeit beaten a long way last time. Has dropped 1lb and should make a decent fist of it.
Irish import whose first run for current trainer saw her win decisively at Leicester. Beaten on her two starts since, but was not disgraced last time and this step up in trip might eke out some improvement.
Forecasts
Melinoe (11/4), Silver Link (9/2), Sepal (5/1), St Mary's (6/1), Stoney Broke (8/1), Satisfy (8/1), Return Ace (12/1), Fire Jet (16/1), Langlauf (33/1)
Some tough and talented fillies are in opposition and Stoney Broke looks the best of two stable representatives over a trip which should suit. Melinoe has each-way claims for connections who do well in contests of this nature, but SEPAL has been so progressive this season that she may be able to defy this career-high mark against rivals of her own sex. Satisfy and Silver Link are lightly weighted and can make their presence felt.
- Sepal
- Stoney Broke
- Melinoe
