Landed a quick treble in 2013 and then ran a close fourth at the Cheltenham festival. Off two years between Jan 2015 and 2017 and nowhere near the force of old but better when last seen in April.
Consistent and likable veteran makes his first start of the season. Returned from long absence in good form at the end of last season winning at Haydock before finishing fourth off today's mark at Wetherby. Rarely runs a bad race.
Unsuccessful in 10 starts for current yard. Pulled up and unseated in last two starts over fences but now a stone below last winning mark. That said he probably has dropped by at least that much ability wise.
Generally campaigned over around 2m and pulled up in lone start over 3m two years ago so this trip a major concern. Handicap mark plummeting recently due to poor form so hard to make a case for.
Starts the new campaign with a different trainer. Won at Bangor in January before running fourth twice. Eased 2lb today and probably competitive off this mark soon enough.
Won a novice handicap chase over 2m6f at Carlisle in April before tiring in a marathon 3m6f contest at Perth three weeks later. This trip probably about optimal and could be competitive despite higher mark.
Battling success at Carlisle over 3m2f last April followed up by non-staying and distant 11th over 3m6f at Perth. Not obviously well handicapped but still open to improvement.
Veteran's lone chase win came four years ago and he is really up against it from out of the handicap here.

Forecasts
Kilcullen Flem (7/2), Smuggler's Stash (7/2), Green Flag (7/2), Purcell's Bridge (7/1), More Madness (8/1), Allez Cool (8/1), The Trigger (8/1), Indian Voyage (12/1), Red Giant (14/1), Border Breaker (20/1)
Both ALLEZ COOL and Smuggler's Stash won races at Carlisle before finding 3m6f beyond them last April. They both look capable of going well back to 3m here but preference is for the former who made a better fist of things when they met at Perth. On better ground The Trigger would be fancied but it would still be no surprise if he goes well today off top weight.
