Beaten but not disgraced in two starts before a win last time out at Tipperary over 1m1f keeping on well late on. Can continue improvement here.

Highly tried and given plenty of chances by the handicapper over the summer but has not delivered. May struggle without showing any kind of improvement.

The step up to 1m2f looked to suit when finishing third of 18 beaten 4½L at the Curragh last time out following disappointing performances earlier in the season. Distance winner but has a tough ask here.

Well beaten and no impression on her last three starts over the summer including a heavy defeat last time out at Tipperary. Will need to improve a chunk to land a blow here.

Generally disappointing over the summer and first-time cheekpieces failed to fire the mare last time out at Tipperary. Tough ask and others preferred.

Coming in to this race on the back of a string of second-rate performances in the spring and a 8L defeat last time out in a Tipperary handicap in August. Hard to fancy until he shows signs of any ability.

Steadily slipping down the weight following a series of below-par starts over a variety of trips. Now a nine-race maiden and others preferred.

Distance winner who has had all four runs this season at Gowran Park including two solid runs in defeat in July and last month. One for the shortlist and worth a market check.

Has generally disappointed this season with heavy defeats in her last three starts beaten a total of 43L. Difficult to imagine what improvement first-time cheekpieces will bring here.

Signs of promise last time out, following three heavy defeats, at Tipperary over 1m1f when fifth of 15 beaten 3¼L on heavy ground last month. Will look to progress again.

Stable have their fair share of winners but this filly needs to improve a chunk to land a blow following a series of heavy defeats including last time out 32L behind Harvey Specter. No signs that she is ready to improve for first-time cheekpieces.

Promising run on the AW at Dundalk last time out when a gallant second of 14 1¾L behind Beau Satchel. Could carry that form in to this but form not good enough on turf to feature.

Course winner that has also won over this distance but form has dipped dramatically over the summer with second-rate performances all round. Difficult to see him taking advantage of plummeting mark in this contest.

Not a lot to shout about towards the end of last season and well beaten in two starts this term. Vast improvement needed to land a blow.

Signs of promise last time out when second of 13 beaten 1½L in Gowran Park handicap over 7f. Will look to carry that form on but not completely trust worthy in this contest.

Verdict

Could well be a duel for the lead in the early stages of this competitive contest. Annie Irish has run solidly in defeat recently and top weight Harvey Specter can give a good account of themselves but a chance is taken with the John Lyons-trained BRIGHT LASS who showed signs of promise last time out at Tipperary over 1m1f when fifth of 15 beaten 3¼L and can go well for a yard that likes to ready one for this meeting.
  1. Bright Lass
  2. Harvey Specter
  3. Annie Irish
