Huntingdon bumper winner (caught Majestic Moll close home) and off to a winning start over hurdles at Ffos Las in June (2m good), but has a penalty to carry in a stronger contest, so looks vulnerable.
Lisronagh point-to-point winner in December 2016, who has performed satisfactorily in bumpers since switched to these shores for £75,000. Should do better over hurdles, but this looks competitive.
Hasn't looked anything out of the ordinary over hurdles, and despite just having the sole start for this stable at Worcester last month looks a most likely back number.
Changed hands for £80,000 in December 2016 after winning a 3m Ballinaboola point-to-point the previous month, and made a winning rules debut in a 2m bumper here in April (good) beating Rouergate by 13L. Hurdles debut.
2 from 3 in bumpers after joining this trainer out of an Irish point-to-point. Handles soft ground well, and coped admirably with a step up in grade to finish 6½L third to the unbeaten Cap Soleil in a Listed Sandown bumper in March. Hurdles bow.
Kalanisi mare who is a point-to-point winner, and makes her hurdles/rules debut for new connections. A half-sister to seven winners including Mobile Sizer and Queen Olivia.
Not far off the pace in any of her three starts in bumpers, but probably lacks the ability to get involved in a contest such as this on her hurdles debut. Better once her sights are lowered.
Rear division finishes in a couple of Worcester heats last month (bumper and a maiden hurdle), and that's nowhere near enough to figure in this contest.
Grabbed on the line by Skewiff on her second start in a Huntingdon bumper in February, but the moral victor, and quickly went one better here in April when accounting for Oscar Star by 6L. Likes to race prominently. Hurdles debut.
No joy in seven starts in point-to-points, and tailed off in a Worcester mares maiden hurdle last month. No conceivable chance.
Made all to take a Warwick bumper on debut in November 2016 (2m good), but was disappointing on her hurdles debut in very deep ground at Lingfield later that month (2m3f+ heavy). Back from an absence wearing a tongue tie.
Had plenty of experience in bumpers, and acquitted herself respectably, winning a Listed contest at Huntingdon in December (2m good to soft). Beaten at short odds on her hurdles debut at Warwick in May (not jump well) and needs more.
Beaten 12½L by Forgot To Ask when finishing fourth of nine on her bumper debut over 2m here (good) in April. Should be better suited by this kind of trip, but lacks hurdles experience and might do better in time.
Cost £95,000 at Cheltenham in December 2016 after winning a 3m Boulta point-to-point the previous month. Improving on her Market Rasen hurdles debut and looking the likely winner when falling two out at Huntingdon in March (2m3½f soft). Key player.
Forecasts
Oscar Rose (5/2), Just A Thought (11/4), If You Say Run (4/1), Rosie McQueen (6/1), Majestic Moll (12/1), Annie Angel (16/1), Odello (20/1), Skewiff (25/1), Kalahari Queen (33/1), Roksana (40/1), La Fille Francaise (100/1), Miss Clyro (200/1), Madame Ember (200/1), Ask The Diviner (200/1)
A most interesting and surely illuminating mares novices hurdle, and a race full of promising sorts of different levels of abilities, and almost certain to throw up a number of future winners. ROSIE MCQUEEN cost her high profile owner £95,000 at Cheltenham in December 2016, but she is closely related to the classy Follow The Plan, and would have marked her second hurdles start with victory at Huntingdon in March (2m3½f soft) but for falling at the second last. She looks capable of making amends now partnered by Barry Geragthy, with If You Say Run (Paul Nicholls) and Just A Thought (Rebecca Curtis) the likely main dangers.
