Quite lightly raced for a horse of his age, but talented and showed a good level of form when fourth in the Galway Hurdle when last seen in August. A reproduction of that effort would give him leading claims.

Won the first of his five hurdles starts for this stable after joining the yard from Willie Mullins, but failed to build on that after a fall at Fairyhouse. Possible that his confidence was affected and he may bounce back after being given a break.

Landed a three-year-olds' Punchestown maiden hurdle in December and ran creditably when seventh in the Fred Winter Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Well held in two subsequent starts and needs to rediscover his earlier level of form.

Forecasts

Joey Sasa (4/7), Peace News (7/4), Dakota Moirette (9/1), Fort Montagu (14/1), Masterson (16/1)

Verdict

Dakota Moirette would be a factor if able to rediscover his Cheltenham Festival form, but this looks to rest between his owner's other contender, PEACE NEWS, and Joey Sasa. The latter has the better recent form, but the selection may be able to kick on again after his break, hopefully with his confidence restored. Fort Montagu and Masterson will be well to get seriously involved.
