Hardly a frequent runner over hurdles with his win over them coming back in 2015 but he wasn't disgraced (fit from Flat) when running over here over 2m last time out. Not raced at this trip over hurdles before but respected if he stays.
Stood out at the weights when recording a C&D win last time off a mark of 94 and remains unexposed. Up 8lb for that win but looks an improving sort who can cope with the increased mark and still on the up.
Goes handicapping off a mark that just looks fair and no more with a try at a new distance thrown in also. His form over hurdles so far has only been modest and he does meet a few who look better treated here.
Most of his form over hurdles suggests that he'll struggle here even at this modest level and very doubtful that he can come with a few here that are making forward progress.
From a stable that are showing a little more of late he remains with just one win to his name and that came three years ago. Did show some possibilities off a career low mark here last time over further and has to be considered.
Returns from a break to go into handicap company for the first time although none of his efforts so far would have you rushing to back him. His mark looks workable but surely more is needed to gain a win.

The obvious focus here is on the two that ran really well last time out in Royal Chief and STATE THE OBVIOUS with the latter looking to have the more solid foundations to build on and likely to cope with the 8lb rise against a field that don’t have may if any secrets from the handicapper. Both Innoko and Galuppi would be of interest if they could repeat their Flat form although the trip is a question mark for both while Our Merlin may just need a few pounds less in this sphere before he becomes of interest.
