Been something of a flagship for this yard and has proved consistent for the most part. Managed to win in a small field at Fontwell on his penultimate start and although he ran poorly last time he's not written off here.

King Alfonso13
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: T Scudamore| T: D Burchell| OR:  109| CD
9/2
Showed his best form when opening his chasing account (not before time) over C&D on his penultimate start. That race looked weak form and he duly failed to follow-up in a handicap time and looks held again here.
3
Horse silk
Maximus Maridiusp118
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: R T Dunne| T: S Drinkwater| OR:  109
6/1
Always looked the sort who would make a chaser but got no further than the first on his chasing debut although he was hampered. Quickly reverted to hurdles and ran well and now given another try over the larger obstacles.

Get Ready Freddyt18
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  108| CD
3/1
A winner on his debut for the yard showing improved form over C&D he been consistent in three subsequent runs reverting to winning form over 2m at Uttoxeter last time. Very likely to be in the mix again here off an 8lb higher mark.

Mr Kit Cat13
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR:  108| CD
6/1
Not totally convincing over fences as yet having run in a variety of events and not anywhere near matching his hurdles form. Folded up pretty quickly last time out and has work to do here.
6
Horse silk
Chestnut Ben94
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-9| J: Ryan Winks(5)| T: P Winks| OR:  106| D
33/1
In good form in the spring with three wins forthcoming plus some other runs where he deserved credit. Now back from a break after disappointing last time having been placed over C&D three times.
7
Horse silk
The Yankh33
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-4| J: Callum McKinnes(10)| T: D G Bridgwater| OR:  101| D
8/1
Not the most straightforward of individuals although he did manage to take a couple of handicap chases over this trip last season. Only placed form to his name so far this season and has checked out of races rather easily of late.
8
Horse silk
Lambeau Field39
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-1| J: J J Burke| T: C E Longsdon| OR:  108
6/1
Yet to win a win a race over obstacles but did show some promise in his first chase start forcing the pace and jumped soundly for the most part. Finished well beaten in the end but handicaps like this will surely show him in better light.

Forecasts

Get Ready Freddy (3/1), King Alfonso (9/2), Mercian King (6/1), Maximus Maridius (6/1), Lambeau Field (6/1), Mr Kit Cat (6/1), The Yank (8/1), Chestnut Ben (33/1)

Verdict

An interesting little handicap with a few having a chance and Get Ready Freddy has to be considered although an 8lb higher mark might just be his undoing here. Maximus Maridius despite his chasing mishap last time is still worth a second look as is Mercian King who is a capable of bouncing back from a poor run last time out. A few of the others have questions to answer off their current mark or coming back from breaks but LAMBEAU FIELD ran well on his chasing debut (better than final position) and could well have a chance of sending this field packing.
  1. Lambeau Field
  2. Get Ready Freddy
  3. Maximus Maridius
