Confidence restored by a Flat win on heavy ground here recently following a torrid summer in maiden hurdles. Market likely to give the best guide to his chances.
Returned from a lay-off in May to finish a fine third of 11 in a Clonmel handicap over 2m1f. Others make more appeal following another absence.
Winner at Ballinrobe in July, since been well held over 1m4f at Chepstow, before disappointing again in a Listowel handicap on heavy ground over a shorter trip. Worth a market check.
Dual winner at the recent Listowel festival in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f and on the Flat over 1m6f on heavy ground. In good heart currently but 11lb higher than last win.
Won a Naas claimer over 1m2f in June but has generally been putting in second-rate performances this term. Others make more appeal.
Ran well enough to be noted last time out when third of 13 beaten 4¾L here last month over 1m6f on heavy ground. Will need to improve here though to play a role.
Has been generally disappointing and out of form throughout the summer and is now 10lb lower than his last win on the Flat. Tough ask and others preferred.
Has shown solid handicap form in the last two months including a win in a Down Royal handicap over 2m2f on heavy ground. Trip and 7lb higher mark raise doubts.
Landed a Flat double at Listowel in April before embarking on a luckless summer hurdling campaign. Can bounce back here but may not appreciate the trip.
Beaten favourite last time out when backed to win a Galway handicap over 1m4f on soft ground last month following a progressive hurdling campaign last term. Can be expected to improve.
Has toiled in a series of heavy defeats in the summer regressing to 14lb lower than his last win. Vast improvement needed to play a role.
Third of 13 at the Galway festival is the highlight of a generally disappointing summer campaign. Needs to improve significantly here to land a blow.
Won a Tipperary Flat handicap in April following a series of heavy defeats over hurdles. Could take a hand but may struggle with the trip.
Has been solid and consistent over the summer including a win in July and beaten just a nose last time out at Down Royal. Is 12lb higher than his last win but could hit the frame.
Veteran who has not raced on the Flat since running at Navan in April 2016. Had shown poor form on the level prior to that run and looks to be regressing.
2-20 on the Flat and was seventh of nine beaten 6L on return to the track in August. Looks vulnerable in this company.
First Reserve: Won a gutsy battle with Highland Fling at the Galway festival over 1m6f, before falling 15L behind Lord Erskine off a 5lb higher mark next time out.
Second Reserve: Useful at best but clearly had his problems, with gaps in his CV, and didn't do anywhere near enough on recent comeback run after a year off, before another heavy defeat last time out at Listowel.

Laid Back Luke likes to get on with things and could take the field along in the early stages. Highland Fling, in good heart currently but 11lb higher than last win and the gutsy and game mare Henry's Girl could both hit the frame, while IOLANI can build on his 2L win last time out over C&D to land the spoils here. Dara Tango is worth a market check if making the line-up.
- Iolani
- Henry's Girl
- Highland Fling
