Made a promising start at Cork but presented his connections with a conundrum after a poor effort last time out. Has obvious ability but comes with risks attached.
Notnowcato gelding ran green on debut when fourth at Navan. Should improve but suggest this race a notch or two harder.
Cost 2,800 euros as a three-year old. Half-brother to 2m hurdle winner King Simba. Sire Elusive Pimpernel a useful miler. Trainer has an excellent strike rate with small string.
Debutant is a brother to an ordinary winner over hurdles and half-brother to a dual winner for Willie Mullins. Stable wins occasional bumper so market worth noting.
Full-brother to a once raced maiden and half-brother to a hurdle winner effective up to 3m. By the prolific Robin Des Champs and cost €95,000 after winning point-to-point debut. Trainer prolific in bumpers so big player.
€24,000 three-year old by Westerner. Dam related to Gold Cup winner Synchronised so stamina likely his forte. Trainer already had a few bumper winners this season.
Unraced gelded son of Masterofthehorse. Dam an unraced Pilsudski mare. Ran a promising race when second on debut at Kilbeggan and no reason he can't be as effective over 2m so looks a leading contender.
Robin Des Champs gelding ran well in both starts to date. Third at Tramore before second at Roscommon behind a potentially smart one. Go well again here but vulnerable to one from the big yards.
Generally performed to a high standard in four bumpers to date and was headed right on the post at Downpatrick latest over 2m2f. Will surely win a bumper and has some of the best form on offer here.
€42,000 two-year old by Oscar. Dam well related but unplaced in four starts in point-to-points and hurdles. Interesting jockey booking and could prove useful.
Beaten out of sight in both starts and no obvious reason he will improve today.
Getaway newcomer out of an unraced half-sister to bumper/2m2f-3m hurdle and chase winner Native Sessions. One of two debutants for trainer so market ought to prove a guide to merits.
Beaten out of sight in two bumpers at Kilbeggan. Impossible to make a case for.

First Approach (15/8), Stooshie (11/4), Jonnigraig (4/1), The Gunner Murphy (9/2), Some Day Soon (16/1), Ididitmyway (20/1), Ballinlina Boy (25/1), Analytical Mindset (25/1), Dunloe Lady (33/1), Boyfromthebogside (50/1), Delice Du Chenet (50/1), Waky Flyer (50/1), Global Tour (50/1), Pavlova (100/1)
The big yards tend to dominate these races and FIRST APPROACH looked very smart when winning his maiden point-to-point so he gets the nod for Noel Meade and Nina Carberry. There isn't much between Jonnigraig and Stooshie based on their respective seconds last time but the former is open to the more improvement so rates the main danger.
