Has winning form on this track over 7f and comes here on the back of a Group 3 Sandown win (1m, good) last time, having preceded that by being runner-up in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot. At the top of her game and should go very well.

Won a French Listed contest last year and stays further than this, but although she has been competitive in Group 3 company just lately, she lacks the class of some of these.

Third in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan in March and after a break she won in Listed company over C&D last time. Conditions just about ideal for her and she has each-way claims.

Won last year's Group 3 Nell Gwyn here and has been knocking on the door in Group 2 and 3 company in recent starts, including a ¾L defeat in the Park Stakes at Doncaster last time. Could go very well at a price.

Enjoyed a progressive three-year-old campaign, with four successive wins and her last three starts have all been excellent efforts in defeat at this level and over this trip. Was over 3L clear of Roly Poly at Leopardstown last time. Strong claims.

Group 1 winner who also won the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot, when beating Aljazzi, but behind Roly Poly and Persuasive at this level on her last two starts. Should again be a major player.

Was a dual Group 3 winner in France last year, though unable to add another win this term. Behind Roly Poly when just ahead of Qemah in the Group 1 Prix Rothschild in July and beaten just 1¼L in a 1m1f Group 1 last time. Each-way claims.

Yet to win beyond 7f and has been well beaten on her only two previous tries over this trip. Has been kept to just the one start this season and it takes a fair leap of faith to see her being good enough on several counts today.

Enjoyed a tremendous three-year-old campaign including a Group 2 Royal Ascot success before coming unstuck at this level in the Falmouth. Has remained competitive, if a few pounds below that level this term. A danger if right back to her best.

Both of her wins have been at around 1m1f, although she has been largely campaigned over further this season. Very likely to be found tapped for toe over this trip and at this level.

Beaten 1¾L by Roly Poly in the Falmouth and then last behind her in the Prix Rothschild, she came back with a Group 3 win last time. Has a few pounds to find with a number of these to be finishing in the frame at this level again today.

Had the run of the race when taking an ordinary renewal of the Group 1 Falmouth (July Course) earlier in the season. Beat some of these in the Prix Rothschild next time. Off the boil last time but if at her best she should be a leading contender.

Tomyris22
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: J P Spencer| T: R Varian| OR:  105| C| D

Began the campaign well with a maiden win here (7f) and Listed York success (1m) next time, though out of her depth at Group 1 level at Royal Ascot. Competitive in Group 3s since, but this is tougher and she could run well without making an impact.

Forecasts

Persuasive (9/4), Roly Poly (4/1), Qemah (5/1), Aljazzi (8/1), Usherette (9/1), Siyoushake (9/1), Muffri'Ha (18/1), Nathra (20/1), Alluringly (50/1), Tomyris (50/1), Arabian Hope (50/1), Dawn Of Hope (66/1), Spangled (66/1)

Verdict

Despite the presence of Group 1 winners Roly Poly and Qemah in the field, PERSUASIVE has the strongest recent form on offer and is taken to come good this time. Stablemate Nathra is not out of this either and could represent some value for those wanting to play longer odds, while French raiders Siyoushake and Usherette both have the class to get involved and the in-form Aljazzi is not ruled out.
  1. Persuasive
  2. Siyoushake
  3. Roly Poly
