Jack The Hat^b,t⁹

Age: 12| Weight: 11-7| J: D J McInerney⁽⁷⁾| T: Madeleine Tylicki| OR: 90| D

7/1

Form of his win over Curassier D'Empire at Perth in August has worked out well, and he put another good effort at Clonmel. Got no further than the first when switched to fences last week.

Form: 013P2F

Tough But Honest²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: D N Russell| T: E McNamara| OR: 90| BF

15/8

Well supported last time and looked the most likely winner until ruining his chances with mistakes at the last two flights. Looks a major player here with better ground a plus.

Form: 0-727F2

Our Rachael^p,t²⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Donagh Meyler| T: A J Martin| OR: 89| BF

7/2

Has struck form with a vengeance on the Flat recently with two victories since August. Has solid claims on her last run over hurdles at Downpatrick a year ago when a close third to two horses who have won off higher marks since.

Form: 506/053-

The Trigger¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-6| J: Danny Mullins| T: R McNally| OR: 89

12/1

In good form over fences this summer and a switch back to hurdling almost paid off at Kilbeggan in August. Ground has been softer than ideal on two latest outings but current forecast looks more suitable.

Form: 411290

Boston Babe^t³²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: A Ring⁽³⁾| T: D J Barry| OR: 88

33/1

Well beaten at odds of 100/1 on last three starts and an absence of 11 months makes her even harder to recommend.

Form: P9P078-

Beneficial Society³⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: M J Bolger| T: L Fowler| OR: 85| BF

14/1

Shock winner at Ballinrobe before reverting to previous levels last time. Two best efforts have come over further than this.

Form: 0-74618

Speedbird One³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: A E Lynch| T: S R B Crawford| OR: 85

33/1

Reappeared after a two year break when mid-division at Down Royal a month ago. There was some promise in the performance although her jumping still has room for improvement.

Form: 77/9

Euro So Brave^t¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: M P Burke⁽⁵⁾| T: W J Austin| OR: 83

7/1

Has been waiting for a suitable opportunity over this kind of trip. Had no chance at the weights with a Mullins favourite last time when tackling 2m4f for the first time in maiden company. Back in a handicap she can make her presence felt.

Form: 020833

Piranto¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: C D Maxwell| T: M G Quinn| OR: 83

33/1

Tailed off in all three starts over hurdles but a potential improver now handicapping. Worth a check in the market.

Form: 606-000

Select Opportunity^h¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: C D Timmons⁽³⁾| T: E Cawley| OR: 82

10/1

Improved for the application of a hood on penultimate start but was in trouble before coming down three out next time. Up against it on that effort.

Form: 07462U

Solent Lad^b,t⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: I J McCarthy| T: J G Carr| OR: 80

33/1

Maiden after 23 attempts and well held at Downpatrick (2m6f, good) last time out. Drops in trip today and blinkers replace cheekpieces worn on that occasion.

Form: 4R6P/0-5

Tortueuse^p⁴⁰

Age: 10| Weight: 10-11| J: Robbie Colgan| T: R Hennessy| OR: 80

33/1

Form has dipped considerably after a promising Down Royal effort in May. Impossible to fancy in current mood.

Form: 0700PP

Wild Desire^p1⁷¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-9| J: D J Mullins| T: P Nolan| OR: 82

33/1

Below par performance on three seasonal starts including last time out when 13th of 14 beaten 51L at Wexford. Not much to shout about so far for the filly.

OUR RACHAEL has been in such good form on the Flat recently that she is hard to oppose here. Two victories since August reveal notable improvement and she looks nicely weighted here judged on her last run over hurdles. That form has worked out splendidly and her astute trainer has found a good opportunity to continue the winning streak. Tough But Honest blew his chances with mistakes last time but has to be respected in his recovery mission with better ground providing cause for optimism. Euro So Brave is a potential improver in handicap company over this trip.
