Made all to land a Wexford bumper despite being green. Refused to settle on hurdling debut last month and the trainer now applies a hood. Looks vulnerable in this company conceding weight to all.

Showed a good attitude to land a Downpatrick bumper and should have little difficulty in winning a maiden hurdle. This looks a decent race for the grade and he will find easier opportunities. Stable have won this twice since 2012.

Fayonagh164
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: D N Russell| T: G Elliott| CD
2/13
Champion Bumper winner representing last year's winning stable. Has shown an ability to gallop her rivals into submission and has produced a dazzling turn of foot to score at Cheltenham. She is an exciting prospect and the obvious one to beat here.
4
Horse silk
16/1
Put her experience to good use at Galway to land a bumper. Third on hurdling debut at Tipperary and this calls for a lot more.
5

From powerful yard but was well beaten in two bumpers recently at the Galway festival and Killarney. Sure to be well prepared for hurdling debut and the one most likely to pick up the pieces should Fayonagh falter.
6
Horse silk
100/1
Son of Aussie Rules who fetched €4,200 as a yearling. Half-brother to Steps Of Freedom and two other winners.
Showed some improvement on debut for this yard on Tuesday. Still looks big and raw but has the potential to do better.
Lightly raced and his two runs back from a four year absence do not suggest he is ready to threaten at this level.

Horse silk
100/1
Nothing of note in bumpers and two hurdles since a promising debut 15 months ago. Hard to fancy at this level.
10
Horse silk
12/1
€62,000 son of Shantou out of a winning point-to-pointer. Made a pleasing debut at Punchestown and has been absent since running as though something was amiss next time. Represents top connections and has each-way claims.
11
Horse silk
100/1
Thrown in at the deep end on first run for new yard. Off the track almost a year and hard to see him being a factor.
12
Horse silk
50/1
Not disgraced when fifth of six in good company at Tipperary but that looks a flash in the pan judged on his efforts before and since.
13
Horse silk
100/1
Champs Elysees gelding is a half-brother to five winners on Flat and fetched £4,000 as a three-year-old. Pulled up on hurdling debut two weeks ago.
15
Horse silk
100/1
€26,000 son of Dark Angel who finished last of 16 on Roscommon debut. Trainer has his team in rude health but it will be a major turn up if adding to his successes here.
Fetched a modest €800 as a three-year-old and it will be a shock if this daughter of Westerner was good enough to take this on debut.

Verdict

Wille Mullins saddles Vittorio and, although the filly has the ability to win her share of races, her task looks difficult given the presence of FAYONAGH. The Champion Bumper winner is an exciting recruit to the hurdling ranks and has been found a good opportunity to make a successful debut on her first start in this sphere. Game Of War looks the pick of the rest.
