Successful from a 4lb lower mark over 2m6½f (heavy) here in December, but has mainly rattled around Cartmel since then, winning again in May (3m1½ good). Kept stronger company most latterly and respected back in this grade despite the shorter trip.
Has taken a little time to find his feet since switched from France, but ended last season well and firmly looking in need of a step up in trip. 3lb higher than for his Kelso success in March (2m1f heavy), but conditions ideal.
Goes well both here and at Carlisle and generally bursts into life early doors (strong during November at this track). Equally as efficient over fences as over hurdles and handicapped to make an impression off this mark.
Enjoys racing to the fore and enjoyed a stellar summer winning three times here over 2m on decent ground. The winning run ended disappointingly last time, and she's vulnerable now over this longer trip, and on softer ground from her current mark.
Broke her duck when winning at the third attempt over fences at Cartmel in August (2m5f good to soft). That form looks reasonable with the third placed Dotties Dilema winning twice since, so a 10lb rise is explainable. Stable ticking along nicely.
Forecasts
Forest Des Aigles (85/40), Shine Away (3/1), Miss Conway (4/1), Tikkandemickey (9/2), Munsaab (6/1)
A race in which it is difficult to totally discount any of the runners, with perhaps the exception of a now vulnerable looking Miss Conway. Munsaab generally doesn't win by far and that keeps the handicapper at arms length and he deserves respect in this grade despite ideally being much better suited by a longer trip. Tikkandemicky can be tricky to predict, but when he's on song he's a force to be reckoned with, particularly at this track. Shine Away is on the up, but has taken a hike in the weights, so the tentative selection is FOREST DES AIGLES. Conditions promise to be ideal for this French recruit, and he returns to action off a competitive mark looking as if this longer trip is fully capable of bringing about further improvement over fences.
