Has been campaigned mainly over shorter this season but stays this trip well, and may appreciate the return to it. Took a big drop in the handicap after latest poor effort but this is easier, and a return to form wouldn't be the biggest surprise.

Has been around the block a few times already, and holds no secrets from the handicapper. Stays well but any cut in the ground would be against him, with best form on quicker. Will run his race, but a surprise if something doesn't beat him.

Interesting on the best of his hurdles form, with this mark well within his compass if Warwick win in May is taken at face value. Has gone well after a break before and with likely ground fine, looks a contender here.

Recent form tends to suggest he's rather gone off the boil, and no saying this step up to 2m will bring about a return to form either. Hard to go overboard about his chances and others readily preferred.

Has some good looking form figures but he has questions to answer regarding the step up to this trip, and this looks a tougher contest than the one he was in at Epsom last time out. Not the most consistent and a bit to find overall.

Placed at this trio in a good quality handicap at York in May but recent form has taken a turn for the worse, although not totally disgraced at Newcastle last time out. Well treated if he can refind best form and on that, not discounted here.

Recent form has fallen off the edge of a cliff, beaten miles at Newmarket last time and normally that would be enough to look elsewhere, but we've seen many a horse bounce back out of the blue from the yard to not write him off just yet.

Has been running with some consistency this year and steadily progressive, stays this trip well and stuck to the task when a close third last time. 3lb rise demands more, but clearly going the right way and gets the allowances here.

Capable of decent form on his day and returned to something like his best when second at Chester last time. Versatile ground wise, and handicapper has been kind leaving him on same mark. Can't be ruled out either.

Put in another good effort to be fourth in a valuable Yarmouth handicap last time out, but in truth best form has come at a lower level than today's and from out of the handicap here, has a tough looking task on.

Forecasts

Dominating (3/1), Altaayil (9/2), Master Singer (5/1), Mister Manduro (7/1), With Pleasure (8/1), Big Easy (10/1), Gavlar (12/1), Eye of The Storm (14/1), Rite To Reign (14/1), Perfect Summer (16/1)

Verdict

Plenty holding some sort of chance in a tricky finale and BIG EASY might be the answer coming back from a break. He looks well treated on his hurdles form and although this could be a warm up for a hurdles campaign again, that doesn't mean he can't win it. Dominating would look the obvious one, being an improving three year old that gets plenty of allowances here, and he should go close along with Rite To Reign and Eye Of The Storm, who will appreciate the return to a longer trip.
  1. Big Easy
  2. Dominating
  3. Eye of The Storm
