Placed on soft ground when second of 12 in a Kilbeggan bumper in June. Disappointing on hurdling debut but more expected under favourable conditions.

Below-par on second run at the Galway festival but has made steady progress over the summer and has ground conditions in his favour here.

Two runner-up positions this season may not be as impressive as they look but in a race that won't take much winning the gelding could play a role here.

Ask Heather

Daughter of dual Group 1 winning juvenile Ask out of a Executive Perk mare. Related to recent Downpatrick maiden hurdle winner Floramar.

Beaten a total of 86L in two second-rate runs this season including a 53L defeat in a Down Royal maiden hurdle in May. Out of form and hard to fancy.

Not seen since May when second of 14 beaten 1½L behind Miss Sapphire who has gone on to win two novice hurdles since. A big run is possible and not to be dismissed.

Two poor bumper performances earlier in the season were confirmed by a 31L defeat on hurdling debut at Clonmel over 2m4f. Very little to be positive about here.

Forecasts

Anytime Now (15/8), Aherlow (9/4), The Kings Baby (5/2), Papal Motel (6/1), Trojan Lass (20/1), Ask Heather (66/1), Papal Valley (66/1), Fourina (100/1)

Verdict

ANYTIME NOW has been found a much easier task than his disappointing hurdle debut in August and any repeat of his bumper form will give the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding a head start here. The consistent Papal Motel and the front-running The Kings Baby can hit the frame.
