Beat Fitzwilly on turf here last time and weighted to confirm the form. Equally effective on the AW track but tends to need a run after a break.
Flattered by his proximity to the winner at Musselburgh in July when wearing first time blinkers. Poor on both starts since and hard to recommend at present.
Infrequent winner nowadays who collected a low grade race at Ripon before failing under a penalty last time. Remains 3lb above his winning mark and that makes him less appealing.
Has improved to win her last couple under this rider. Returns from a break 6lb higher than her last win but has to be considered.
Form of his three victories has worked out nicely enough. Comes here in preference to a valuable prize at Ascot on Friday in order to get the quicker ground he craves. Looks a typical slow burner for the trainer and there may be a lot more to come.
Outclassed a subsequent winner now rated 74 on his second start. Beaten twice since on soft ground but promises to bounce back on this surface and from a workable mark.
Form of her Chepstow maiden victory has worked out well enough to suggest she is nicely weighted here. Needs to bounce back from some indifferent performances and stable have been quiet.
Has found little on his last two starts over this trip and has work to do to reverse placings with Imphal. On a track here that favours his front-running style and which may also enable him to see out the 2m.
Front-runner who faces competition for the lead. Form line through Kozier gives him plenty to find with Imphal. Best AW form has come at Southwell and unplaced on both previous starts here.
Best effort this season came when runner-up over 1m5f at Navan (good-to-firm) in July. Disappointed twice since but represents a trainer with a 3-6 record with AW raiders here.
Flattered by his proximity to an easy winner at Brighton in May. Still attracted support for a competitive Sandown event but was soundly beaten. Drops in grade and tackles a considerably longer trip but handicap mark looks high enough.
Seemed ill at ease around Epsom when tailed-off in July but has been better since switching to flatter AW tracks. Work to do from this mark and worries how he will handle the track.
Limited ability so far without showing any signs of progress. Up in distance for this and needs to find a fair bit in order to be a threat.
Forecasts
Imphal (2/1), Fulham (5/1), Sputnik Planum (5/1), Veiled Secret (6/1), Ayr Of Elegance (14/1), Fitzwilly (14/1), Sure To Explore (14/1), Golly Miss Molly (22/1), Kalann (25/1), Makkadangdang (25/1), Yes Daddy (28/1), Goldslinger (33/1), Tapdancealltheway (50/1)
IMPHAL accounted for Kozier by a narrow margin at Goodwood and the runner-up was an impressive winner next time. He holds a few of these on that form and is taken to follow up at the expense of Fulham who will appreciate the return to an AW surface. Veiled Secret and Goldslinger will ensure a decent pace and that will suit the topweight Ayr Of Elegance.
- Imphal
- Fulham
