Point-to-point winner and winning for the first time under rules when successful over C&D on his penultimate start on good ground back in May. Finished third in a small field contest last time and vulnerable under a penalty.
Fair efforts in a couple of bumpers in 2015 and ran well on hurdling debut in September of that year. Absent since finishing well beaten on soft ground two months later.
Useful horse on the Flat and rated 96 currently in that sphere. Finished runner-up on return to hurdling at Worcester (2m, good) last month and likely to run well again today.
Twice a winner on the Flat including on good-to-firm ground in June. Interesting to see how he fares on today's hurdling debut.
Well beaten on all eight starts so far including off a mark of 83 in a handicap hurdle at Doncaster (good-to-soft) in March. Likely to struggle in this contest.
Signs of ability in two bumpers most recently when fourth on good ground at Chepstow in April. Interesting runner on his hurdling debut today.
Dual point-to-point winner last season including when looking held prior to being left clear at Kingston Blount (good) in April. Pulled up since and probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Twice a winner in a 37 race Flat career and ran well when runner-up over an extended 1m2f on heavy ground last weekend. Worth a check in the market on hurdling debut.
Placed in a point-to-point but became disappointing in that sphere. Walked over for his maiden win at Thorpe Lodge (good) in April and probably best watched on rules debut.
Winner over fences at Sedgefield (good-to-soft) in January but well beaten in two subsequent starts. Raced off a mark of 116 for that victory and a repeat of that effort should see him go close on his return to hurdles.
Best effort in four bumper starts in Ireland came when runner-up on soft ground at Limerick in March. Purchased for £35,000 at the sales a month later and wears a hood for the first time on hurdling debut.
Refused to race on final start for Alan King in May and well beaten having attempted to make all on debut for this stable over 2m4f in August. Others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Banditry (6/5), Bach De Clermont (11/4), Zen Master (9/1), Arthur's Gift (10/1), Volvalien (12/1), Frankie Rapper (14/1), Royal Beekeeper (25/1), Stoneboat Bill (40/1), Thomas Patrick (40/1), Bit Of A Quirke (66/1), Corrie Loch (66/1), Early Boy (150/1)
BANDITRY can go one better than when finishing runner-up on his hurdling return by taking this competitive novice contest. The selection represents Ian Williams who is in good form at present (7/21) and with the ground likely to suit he can defeat Volvalien who returns to hurdles here while the penalised Bach De Clermont and hurdling debutant Zen Master are others to consider in this.
- Banditry
- Volvalien
- Bach De Clermont
