Enjoyed some success for Paul Nicholls but the form hasn't really worked out since. Dropped in the weights and likely to be a fun horse for his new yard, but makes limited appeal from a betting perspective this time around.
Another that debut for a new yard after losing his way a little. Reverts to hurdles on a similar rating to his best over fences, and has something to prove just now. The fitting of a hood may help but a bit of guesswork involved on that score.
Already enjoyed a good year but has crept up the ratings as a result. Up a further 1lb for finishing second last time out, the handicapper is making life hard for him and another personal best is required.
Outclassed in a Listed race on the Flat in August but this is much more of a realistic target for the filly. She has been progressive with three wins over hurdles since April and will be well suited by the return to this level. Sound claims here.
Won his first two starts on the Flat for his current yard but his form hit the buffers as the summer progressed. Won a modest race at Market Rasen last September but now 7lb higher and plenty to prove over timber for the first time in almost a year.
C&D winner last month, so has to merit a second look in the betting from just 4lb higher (the rider's claim a handy tool as well). Wouldn't want any further rain though.
Lost his way for Paul Nicholls and not much encouragement to be taken from last month's debut for his current yard. Probably safest to just take notes on this occasion.
Plenty of experience to draw from and is quite well handicapped on the pick of his old form. respected but has been absent since March (over hurdles - since April on the Flat), so might just need the run.
Forecasts
Frederic (7/4), Our Kylie (7/2), Hestina (7/2), Our Three Sons (9/2), Hartside (16/1), Rainy City (20/1), Ink Master (28/1), Cash Again (40/1)
HESTINA makes the most appeal on this occasion, as she is likely to be much more at home in this company that the Listed race she ran in at Newmarket in August. The four-year-old has made good strides over hurdles and appears to have been found a decent opportunity to enhance her profile. Our Three Sons is another that has thrived over timber but the handicapper has taken great care with him, so it may be down to recent C&D winner Our Kylie to throw down the sternest challenge.
