Won a Carlisle bumper in November 2015 on debut in taking style but has encountered issues since and run only three times, all this year. Unable to show similar level of form and best watched now switching to the Flat/AW first time.

Winner over hurdles in March but has plenty to find based on two AW maidens previously, including over this C&D a year ago.

Bumper and hurdles winner (not since 2015) not spotted since January and makes belated switch to the Flat now aged nine. Hard to recommend.

Showed promise in couple of AW maidens last year for Luca Cumani and didn't show up badly over longer trip at Chelmsford in August on return/debut for this yard. Down in trip, has to be given some hopes in this line-up.

Posted excellent efforts at Doncaster and Sandown over this trip in July and potentially the softer ground at Newmarket next time was his undoing. Those initial efforts give him sound claims if handling this surface for in-form trainer.

Likely to have benefited for the experience having finished seventh of 12 over 1m2f at this track on debut last November. Gelded since and wears a tongue tie for the first time on his seasonal debut.

Well beaten in 1m maidens here and at Chelmsford so far, steps up in trip now but hard to be confident on those prior runs.

Ravens Pass filly who finished last of six on debut for Brian Meehan at Bath in June (1m2f firm) and was sold cheaply for £4,200 at the Ascot Sales recently.

Decent debut effort at Sandown over 1m2f (good) in April and was sent off odds-on over C&D last month in similar contest last month on return, coming home clear second behind an easy winner. Should be involved.

Unraced eighth foal by Galileo out of Regal Rose, and a half-sister to five winners including Regal Royale, Bobby Wheeler and Merchant of Medici. One of two for trainer in this field.

Going the right way in three turf maidens, best effort yet coming last month over 1m2f at Salisbury off a break. Entitled to be thereabouts on AW debut.

Last of six on debut at Bath in August (1m, good to firm), breeding suggests this trip will be more like it but perhaps one to watch until earning a handicap mark.

Forecasts

Musaahim (13/8), Symbol (7/2), Stanley (6/1), Tranquil Star (6/1), Soghan (7/1), Tinted (7/1), Dinsdale (50/1), Country'n'western (66/1), Isaac Bell (100/1), Lady Of Steel (100/1), Triple First (100/1), Nagamaat (150/1)

Verdict

It might be best to put MUSAAHIM's latest effort down to the soft conditions he encountered and, based on previous runs over this trip at Doncaster and Sandown, he sets the benchmark now. He can take this prize for a yard enjoying a decent spell. Symbol found only one too good here last month and will be ready to pick up the pieces should the selection fail to fire while Tranquil Star and newcomer Tinted are others worth noting.
