Sizing Platinum^t¹⁵⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 11-12| J: R M Power| T: C L Tizzard| OR: 136| D

11/8

Looked promising when trained by Henry De Bromhead, but has not been at his best for his current stable. Falling down the weights, but best form on a sounder surface so has plenty to prove.

Form: 294F07-

Matorico^t¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 133| D

5/1

Dual hurdle winner who shaped with promise on his chasing debut at Worcester last month. Should handle the ground and has prospects off his opening handicap mark over the bigger obstacles.

Form: 13/U-434

Un Beau Roman^h¹⁴¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: Nick Scholfield| T: P Henderson| OR: 132| D

10/1

Won a valuable handicap chase at Cheltenham in November, but his form gradually tailed off after that success. Returns from his summer break and enters calculations on a mark off which he has won in the past.

Form: 126P6-P

Ut Majeur Aulmes^t¹⁵⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 11-8| J: C Gethings⁽³⁾| T: V R A Dartnall| OR: 132| CD

4/1

Won off this mark over C&D in March, last year, but has been unable to build on that success. Another returning from a summer break, he has serious claims if back on song.

Form: 1/42583-

De Faoithesdream⁷⁰

Age: 11| Weight: 10-7| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 117| CD

7/2

Would be of serious interest off this mark if returning to the form which saw him fall when looking set to win a valuable handicap at Cheltenham in December. Out of form when last seen, but undeniably well handicapped and is proven on this ground.

Form: 45-5365

Forecasts

Sizing Platinum (11/8), De Faoithesdream (7/2), Ut Majeur Aulmes (4/1), Matorico (5/1), Un Beau Roman (10/1)

Each of these come with risks. Top weight Sizing Platinum prefers a sounder surface, Matorico is a novice over fences and Un Beau Roman and Ut Majeur Aulmes have to show they are in form after their lay-odds. The same can be said of DE FAOITHESDREAM, but he has slipped to a dangerous handicap mark, can handle heavy ground and may prove hard to catch if adopting his customary frontrunning tactics.
