Travelled very nicely into a before seemingly struggling to see out the 7f trip. Obvious player back down at this trip if he handles the track (all four of his runs have been at the Curragh) and won't mind any rain that falls.
Landed a Group 2 here on the July course but held on two subsequent starts and more exposed than several in here. Yard won this last year but needs improvement to figure.
Improving with every start at present and ran well for a long way at York before seemingly not staying. Another fine run in defeat in a valuable sales race at Doncaster last time but can be a bit quirky under pressure and more on his plate here.
Backed off the boards for Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot when he seemed to not give his running. Again beaten in Group 1 over 6f at the Curragh last time and hard to fancy at present. Looks down the order on jockey bookings.
Dual winner over this trip at the Curragh this summer including his penultimate outing. Disappointing upped to 7f in a Group 3 contest at York last time though and while the drop back in trip is in his favour, he looks out of his depth here.
Winner on second start at Ascot and has been running well without winning at pattern level up until his last couple of efforts. Well beaten at York last time out though and has a fair bit to find to a play a part here.
Improved from a solid debut to win well at York on second start and ran a big race in a sales race back at that course last time. This looks a lot tougher but yard are in good form and he's less exposed than some; not without an each-way chance.
Progressed from a taking debut at Newcastle with a Group 2 win at Royal Ascot. Shade disappointing here on the July course when favourite for a Group 2 last time but still ran well. Softer ground an unknown but there could still be more to come.
Progressed from a Nottingham maiden to win impressively in Group 2 company at York. Horse he beat there certainly useful (has won a Group 3 and second in a Group 3 since); can't be ruled out with more improvement to come and proven in conditions.
Arrives in a bid to win his third Group race on the spin after landing a Group 1 at the Curragh last time out (had Beckford in behind). Obvious claims on that form but has disappointed on soft ground before and conditions may have gone against him.
Took a step forward from winning a Group 2 at Maisons-Laffitte when winning the Darley Prix Morny last time at Deauville. That form looks rock solid and proven in the conditions so seemingly the one to beat here.
Has form behind several of these, including stablemate Sioux Nation last in a Group 1 at the Curragh two starts back. Didn't need to improve to win a Group 3 last time but more on his plate here. Will give it a good go from the front.
Forecasts
Beckford (7/2), Sands Of Mali (9/2), Sioux Nation (11/2), Unfortunately (6/1), Hey Jonesy (8/1), U S Navy Flag (10/1), Rajasinghe (10/1), Cardsharp (14/1), Danzan (20/1), Fleet Review (25/1), Declarationofpeace (40/1), Frozen Angel (40/1)
UNFORTUNATELY may not be done progressing yet and if he takes another step forward here, he's sure to prove hard to beat. Sands Of Mali won't mind some cut in the ground and the horse he beat last time has done plenty for the form since. Beckford could be the main danger to the selection after he failed to see out 7f last time and is another who may enjoy any rain that falls.
- Unfortunately
- Beckford
- Sands Of Mali
