Scored over C&D in February when 4lb lower and after a summer break he has not shown that he is capable of winning from this mark in two recent outings, including over C&D.
Finished runner-up in a 6f maiden here in February (beaten 4L) and was beaten over 4L when returning here from a 3lb higher mark (7f) next time. Not ruled out of the frame now dropped in the weights and after a recent pipe-opener.
His sole success was here over 6f almost two years ago, when rated 7lb higher. While that is a positive, there is little to add to it from recent efforts and even from this mark he looks likely to find a few too good.
Has not won for over two years and is 0-8 on All Weather surfaces. Beaten 3L from just 1lb higher when last seen at Kempton (1m) a couple of weeks ago and no obvious reason why he will come good again this time.
0-7 on the All Weather, her sole success being on turf at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) 13 months ago. Can be competitive from this mark, but is also inconsistent and although she has acted well on this track, others make more appeal.
Has regressed with each run since making the frame on his Beverley debut two years ago. Dropped another 5lb since his 28L last of 10 at Doncaster last time, but not easy to enthuse about that making much difference today.
1-44 so far, but did at least run well over C&D last time when a 1L third of 12 in a similar contest. Tongue strap tried today and from the same mark and a reasonable draw, he could have a say.
1-44 so far, though did run well here last time from today's mark, when beaten just 1L into third. A repeat effort from a reasonable draw would give him a chance in this weak field.
Well beaten in all starts in a bumper and three maidens at 1m½f- 1m3½f. Drops to this trip for his first handicap outing from a very lowly mark. However, impossible to recommend on what we have seen.
Won over C&D last year from 1lb higher and has gone well back over C&D since. Has to put three poor turf runs behind her now, but returned to this venue she could take much closer order.
0-17 and has made the frame just once when an almost 7L third at Yarmouth (1m, good) two starts ago. Seems to handle this track well enough, but out of the handicap here and not easy to enthuse about her chance.
Six of his seven wins have been on the All Weather, two of those being over 6f here. Form has tailed off since the spring and is out of the handicap here. Has plenty to prove based on his 12L C&D defeat last time.
Forecasts
Hot Mustard (11/4), Justice Rock (7/2), Mr Potter (6/1), Frangarry (6/1), Rosie Crowe (8/1), Desi Daru (9/1), Lily Ash (12/1), Media World (16/1), Sakhee's Jem (25/1), Kingfisher Girl (25/1), Cloak And Degas (33/1), Louis Vee (50/1)
Very moderate fayre here and very little makes appeal, so the suggestion is FRANGARRY, though given that he has won only 1-44 that says plenty about how much confidence there is behind him. Justice Rock and Rosie Crowe have some sort of claim, while Lily Ash and Cloak And Degas are others not ruled out.
- Frangarry
- Justice Rock
- Lily Ash
