Carol Whitwood Memorial Handicap

Gets this trip, though has not won since doing so over 6f on her debut in 2015. Well beaten in her last three outings, inducing a 20lb slide in the handicap. Different headgear applied today, though has plenty to prove.

0-8 but has put in some decent efforts in defeat, particularly on softer ground on turf since going handicapping. First try on this surface, but sees out this trip and if you can put a line through his last run (over further) then he has claims.

Yet to make the frame in three All Weather runs, with both his wins being on good ground on turf. Was runner-up from this mark at Yarmouth last month, so has the ability, provided he can transfer it to this surface on his first try.

Ran reasonably well over C&D last time out when rated 1lb higher. However, was still over 3L adrift there with no obvious excuses and looks to be in the grip of the handicapper for the time being.

Goes well here and has three wins at the track to his name over 1m, the most recent from 1lb lower in April. Hasn't convinced over this trip on his last two starts here, but can't be ruled out from this mark and with a 7lb claim off his back.

Recorded a short-head success on his first start for this yard at Yarmouth last month and ran well in defeat at Goodwood (1m3f, soft) last time. Has an All Weather Wolverhampton win on his CV and if he acts on this surface then he has claims.

Seems to go best when fresh and again this season, his first run was the best of the three efforts he has produced. Trip and track no problem and he is on a handy enough mark, though it is no done deal that he can run to his ability.

His most recent win came over C&D, though that was in March 2015 and he has barely been able to reproduce that form since. Well beaten on heavy ground recently on his first start for 11 months, but given that he was favourite, he is interesting.

Sole success was over this trip and from 1lb higher at Brighton earlier in the year. Has also run well over C&D previously. Looks well worth consideration now dropping back to this trip and from a handy mark.

Recorded two All Weather wins at Chantilly when trained in France and has been sliding in the weights since joining this yard. Cheek pieces applied for this step back up in trip and a market check is advised in case a revival is imminent.
