Has returned to the track this summer after a five year absence and showed at Kempton last time there there is enough ability there to pick up a race, although unless he improves that is unlikely to be today.

Showed promise on his Wolverhampton debut in April and has been put by until now. Should be capable of building on that and it would be no surprise to see him figure at the business end today.

Placed in his first three starts in maidens in July, including here over C&D. Has missed two intended engagements with vet's certificates, so hopefully he is over that and if fully firing he looks like being a leading player again.

50-1 but made a very nice debut here last week, getting the hang of things late on to finish just ½L behind the winner. Provided this doesn't come too quick for him, he should be capable of improving and cannot be ruled out.

Has shown very little in his two starts to date, with a gap of almost two years in between. Should receive a handicap mark after this and may be of greater interest then.
Improved on her debut from last December when beaten less than 2L at Lingfield (1m, good to soft) in April. Not seen since then, but clearly quite promising in the context of this race and capable of being involved again.
Has beaten just one of her 21 opponents home in two starts so far and was taken out of a similar contest here last week. Plenty to prove and will receive a handicap mark after this.

6-1 and runner-up on debut at Kempton (7f, AW) in April, though failed to build on that at Newmarket later that month. Not seen since then, but if she can build on the promise of that first effort then she should be very competitive in this field.

Forecasts

Hyperloop (4/6), Manaahil (3/1), Ifubelieveindreams (5/1), Swiss Vinnare (6/1), Colourful Career (14/1), Freedom Fighter (50/1), Lookintomyeyes (50/1), Arrucian (66/1)

Verdict

Not a very strong maiden and one in which MANAAHIL gets the vote. Charlie Hills' filly steps up in trip, which should help her find some improvement after a flat effort at Newmarket when last seen. She may just have a bit more up her sleeve than the more exposed, though nonetheless respected, Hyperloop. Swiss Vinnare and Ifubelieveindreams are others who can have a say.
  1. Manaahil
  2. Hyperloop
  3. Ifubelieveindreams
