Brother of Eider Chase winner Milborough and off the track since an impressive success at Wetherby on heavy ground two years ago. Now 11lb higher in the weights and likely to improve for this with a career over fences beckoning.
Winning pointer who had plenty of use made of her stamina over 2m here six weeks ago. Rallied when headed although having to concede second best to a 125 rated rival. Will improve for the trip and one for the shortlist.
Looked a difficult ride at Hexham when delivered to challenge between the last two. That effort proved short-lived and he faded rapidly into fifth. He ran a similar race here in August raising supsicions he does not try hard enough.
Has form on heavy ground and the switch to this trip reaped dividends in May. That was a poor race and he has struggled off his revised marks since. Tends to find a flat spot during his races and he jumped poorly here last time.
Winning pointer on soft ground who has shown signs of getting the hang of things in the past couple of months. Shaped as though ready for this trip over fences last time and the third has scored twice since.
Given a good tactical ride to score here when making all. Kicked off the bend having set a steady gallop and had Galveston behind in fourth. A 5lb rise seems reasonable enough but the opposition ought to be wise to him this time.
Runner-up in the 2m4f hurdle here 12 months ago but form subsequently deteriorated. A 1-23 record is a telling statistic but this could prove to be an easier race to win than most he has contested.
Won a poor four-runner point-to-point a year ago and has shown little under rules since. Makes handicap debut on a mark which demands she shows more than has been evident so far.

Forecasts
Mac N Cheese (7/4), Galveston (5/2), Double Court (6/1), Viognier (7/1), Karingo (9/1), Spoils Of War (10/1), Novo Dawn (10/1), Devito'sgoldengirl (16/1), Smiling Jessica (28/1), Solway Palm (33/1)
Galveston and Spoils Of War are tricky customers who are probably best watched. Both struggled behind Karingo here last time and need to find more than is likely to be forthcoming. Karingo secured that success under an opportunistic ride and will find this harder. Mac N Cheese would be a contender if ready after a two year break but he looks a more likely type for a novice chase in the next few months. Devito'sgoldengirl promises more over this trip but Double Court is an exasperating sort. NOVO DAWN has come to hand recently and as a winning point-to-pointer on soft ground this looks an ideal test. His latest Cartmel effort looks even better since the third, Dotties Dilemma (beaten 8L), has scored twice since off marks in the 90s. If running to that level back over hurdles he is sure to be had to beat.
- Novo Dawn
- Devito'sgoldengirl
- Karingo
