Winning hurdler but she's been well held in five starts over fences so far, most recently over 2m4f at Thurles in March. Needs this trip to unlock some more, hurdles win came over 2m5f on heavy so stamina could be there for it.

C&D winner last month off a mark of 84 and looked set to follow up at Tramore (2m6f) next time before a late fall. Good effort at Galway last week over trip that was perhaps too short, big player back here.

Into the twilight of his career at 12-years-old and has run sparingly over the years, three runs early this year strongly suggest he'll be up against it now after a 196-day layoff.

Returned from more a year off with excellent second to Dorkas over C&D last month having gone off 33/1. That was a much-improved effort and could have a big say if able to replicate/build on it.

11-year-old mare has won five times from 38 starts over fences, twice went close over this sort of trip in Britain in the spring and entitled to have needed the run last week at Ballinrobe, though she never went with any sort of enthusiasm.

No run under rules since February 2015 and was pulled up in both point-to-points last year. Two wins over fences came in 2013, both over shorter trips, and is very hard to fancy coming here off a 547-day absence.

Verdict

DORKAS won over C&D in good style last month and looked booked to follow up at Tramore before crashing out late on. She's now rated 11lb higher than for the previous success here but ran well enough at Galway last off a mark of 97 in a race that didn't play to her reserves of stamina to merit the suggestion she's going to be a tough nut to crack back around this venue over 3m. Doolough Lad was runner-up behind the selection last time, returning from more a year on the sidelines and has to command respected with the benefit of that run while last year's winner Willow Grange is 3lb lower this time and must be noted, despite showing only mediocre form since and a record of 1-51 in his career. Routes Choice hasn't achieve a lot over fences, but this longer trip might be a help for him.
