Winner at Thurles (good) back in October last year but disappointing in recent starts for previous yard. Well held at Bellewstown (2m4f, good) in first time cheekpieces (absent today) last month and debuts for a new yard today.
Ran well when runner-up at a big price in a 2m1f contest at Cheltenham (soft) in January but well held twice since and have to go back nearly three years to find his most recent victory.
In good form since joining this yard winning at Worcester (2m, good) and finishing runner-up twice subsequently. Beaten 12L in a four runner contest at Bath last time and wears cheekpieces for the first time on handicap debut.
Finished runner-up twice in the spring including over 2m1f at Sedgefield (good) on his penultimate outing. Well beaten at Haydock subsequently and probably best watched on his debut for a new yard.
Victorious over an extended 2m2f at Market Rasen (good) when wearing a tongue tie for the first time back in November. Held since and returns from a five month absence for a stable with a 30% strike rate (3/10) of late.
Six time winner including three times over hurdles in the past. Made a winning debut for this yard over fences at Kelso (2m1f, good) in May. Held since but races off a 14lb lower mark than for that chase success.
Made a winning handicap debut over 2m5f at Warwick (good-to-soft) in May but well held in two starts since. Drop in trip should suit having finishing 80L ninth over an extended 3m1f at Cartmel (soft) last time.
Handicap chase winner at Haydock (2m3f, good) in May but well beaten at Market Rasen (good) last time and attempting to take advantage of a hurdles mark 5lb lower than for that Haydock victory.
Registering a third win over hurdles when victorious over 2m at Wetherby (good-to-soft) in January. Raised 3lb for that success and worth a check in the market on his seasonal debut.
Completing a treble when winning over C&D on good-to-soft ground back in July. Return to this trip should suit having finished 36L behind the winner over 3m at Perth (good-to-soft) last time.
Successful eight times over jumps in France when with Guillaume Macaire. Well beaten since joining this yard and blinkers worn last time out are left off on his first run of the year.
Ran well when finishing runner-up over this C&D on good-to-soft ground back in July. Yet to win in 14 starts over hurdles but likely to have ground to suit in this contest.
Well beaten since finishing runner-up on good-to-firm ground at Chepstow in April and likely to prefer the ground quicker than is forecast today.
Forecasts
Vivas (4/1), Psychedelic Rock (5/1), King's Wharf (11/2), Mondello (6/1), Man Of Plenty (9/1), As You Like (12/1), Zig Zag (14/1), Chevalgris (14/1), Crookstown (14/1), Green Zone (20/1), El Massivo (25/1), Auenwirbel (25/1), Our Thomas (28/1)
KING'S WHARF can record a second victory since joining this stable by taking this handicap hurdle. Gavin Cromwell's charge enjoyed plenty of success for his previous yard and can notch a fourth hurdles victory with the forecast ground and trip both likely to suit today. Psychadelic Rock has been running well since joining this stable and is taken to claim second on his handicap debut while Mondello, runner-up here last time out can take third.
- King's Wharf
- Psychedelic Rock
