Takes a drop in grade here, which will help, and he's 2-5 when he does race in this grade so that can be taken as a positive too. Ran a little better than finishing position suggests at Kempton last time and looks a player here.
Deserves a win for his consistency and has shown that the step up to 2m holds no terrors recently. No reason not to run his race again and looks one for placepotters, with this surface likely to suit.
Winner at York in June but that was over 12f and only effort at 2m (last year) saw him run well below form. Has to be a question that this trip will suit then, and on that, others preferred.
Grand sort that seems to always run his race, acts on the surface, stays well and ran as well as he has done (in better grade) this season when a close third at Kempton latest. Tends to save his best for there but not ruled out.
Denied the hat-trick seeking Piedita at Chelmsford last time out and only 3lb higher here, so handicapper has been fair. Probably needs another career best but does act well here and should run his race.
Stays very well and has three course wins to his name, so has his plus points. Knows how to win should the opportunity arise and is still on a fair mark, so can't be discounted in a tricky race.
Plenty to prove after some middling efforts recently and no saying this trip will suit either. Others hold far stronger claims and he makes little appeal.
In great form and seems to have improved leaps and bounds for the step up to 2m, the further he goes the better he looks and as an improving 3-y-o that gets all the allowances here, he looks to hold a great chance of the hat-trick.

Noble Behest (11/4), Gavlar (3/1), Fleeting Visit (7/2), Opposition (11/2), Lady Makfi (7/1), Mister Bob (10/1), King Calypso (11/1), Wordiness (22/1), Duke Of Sonning (125/1)
There's no blindingly obvious pacemaker here and this has the potential to get messy. NOBLE BEHEST has been a revelation since stepping up in trip though, and as he's got a bit of tactical speed as well, can complete the hat-trick. Gavlar will find this easier and a return to form would see him go close. Fleeting Visit doesn't know how to run a bad one and should reward e/w backers again.
