Ex-William Haggas-trained filly, won three of four starts in 2016, disappointed at York in July on sole start this year before joining this handler. Has won over the trip on AW before and one to note in betting on stable bow.

Both career wins have come here, record at the track since December reads 21125, latest effort being over 6f last month. Smart apprentice takes off 5lb and down in trip should be involved.

In tremendous form early in the year on the AW in Britain, winning three times at Chelmsford and Lingfield, including over this trip. Off since June, jockey booking for this first Irish raid is an immediate eye-catcher.

Filly is rated 12lb lower than when going down ½L over C&D in October 2016 on sole previous AW run. Form on turf this year is mixed, but could go well off a break with trainer enjoying a good spell.

Inconsistent sort, hasn't registered since maiden at Kempton in March 2016 over 6f, first time trying the minimum trip and hard to be confident currently.

Hasn't enjoyed the best summer on turf but always a threat at this venue, C&D winner and went close from 3lb higher mark than this in January. Market check needed.

Took advantage of lowly mark on turf to win over this trip at Bellewstown recently, is rated 10lb higher in this sphere and must overcome the wide draw, not easy.

Just one win, a maiden over this trip at Down Royal in June 2015, from 16 starts. Has run some decent races on turf this year and having achieved a peak rating of 102 and run well in Group 2 company, would be folly to rule out in at this level.

Won her maiden over 5f at Redcar in June, run well enough in two Curragh contests since switching to this yard to suggest she can be involved in the finish.

Form in four previous AW outings suggests the mare has work to do off this rating despite addition of blinkers and an eye-shield for the first time.

Verdict

Last year's winner My Good Brother is weight to give this another fair crack and comes here having run a pleasing race at Laytown earlier this month, his chance is not to be underrated. Lapilli is one to pay attention to debut for new connections while Miss Cogent has fallen down the weight rapidly and could bounce back in a race of this nature. Equally, Independence Day is respected having run some promising races on turf without winning this year. ALFREDO ARCANO ran a rare poor race here over 6f last time but previously had been very consistent at the track. Back down to 5f and with Oisin Orr claiming a valuable 5lb, he can bounce back in this opener.
