Cost $335,000 as a two-year-old and is the first foal of an unraced dam. Beat a modest lot on his Windsor debut (5f) and picks up a 5lb penalty for it. Bred to be better suited by this longer trip and rider 73-255 for the yard.

Slaughtered an average bunch on his Yarmouth debut but looked a top-class prospect in the making. Rider has a 30% strike rate on the yard's juveniles and he looks the one to beat. Stable took this in 2015.

Cheeky winner of a Lingfield maiden and has more on his plate here. Receives a useful weight allowance from his principal rivals and that makes him a threat with more improvement likely.

Dubawi colt, full-brother to Alnashama. Dam a 1,000 Guineas winner in these colours for trainer's father. Well beaten on debut but likely to do better given more time and still holds a Group 2 entry. Stable took this last year.

Verdict

Just the four runners in this and a case could be made for all. Wafy struggled in the mud on debut and it would come as no surprise if this Racing Post Trophy entry proved that showing to be completely wrong. Last Voyage has the weakest form of the previous winners in this but hails from a yard with a vintage crop of juveniles. Ragstone Road was a comfortable winner last time and manages to escape a penalty. IL PRIMO SOLE created a highly favourable impression on his Yarmouth debut. Although he beat little of note the form is no worse than that achieved by today's rivals and he can repeat the yard's success in a race they landed two year's ago.
