Both AW victories have come on the Fibresand at Southwell (7f and 1m), but has also shown up well enough over C&D, most notably when just over 1L third to Symbolic Star (Grey Destiny second) in March.
Dual 7f AW winner who has twice finished runner up over 1m here since the introduction of Tapeta in May 2016. On a competitive mark and unlucky in the run when fifth of 14 to Masquerade Bling over 7f recently. Major player.
Not won since June 2015 (for Richard Fahey), and whilst he has tumbled down the weights, he's yet to make any sort of impression for this trainer in five attempts.
Never involved on her seasonal reappearance over an inadequate looking 7f at Catterick in May. Absent since and dropped 4lb in the weights for her AW and handicap debut.
Won just once in 16 starts (over 7f at Carlisle in August 2016), but fairly consistent without really threatening to score this year. On the premises at Thirsk latest (1m good to firm), but that's generally her way.
Just 1lb higher than when winning by a short-head over 1m at Carlisle last month (good to soft) and feasibly the ground might have been a shade too deep for her back at that track latest. 0 from 3 on the AW.
Very difficult to win with. Her sole success came over C&D off this mark in November 2016 (beat Hightime Girl by 2½L). However, she certainly saves her best efforts for this track, and this race represents an ideal opportunity.
A 1m winner for previous trainer Eugene Stanford, but also clearly has his quirks as he displayed when refusing to race in August 2016. Joined this shrewd trainer and went close on stable bow back from a year off at Yarmouth last month.
Running creditably, but won just once in 12 starts (over 7f at Wolverhampton in March). Head second to the well treated Broctune Papa Gio over 7f here recently (Newcastle debut), but lacks all that much experience over 1m.
Seven race maiden, but now has two fairly solid pieces of Newcastle AW form in the book (including in a C&D maiden on debut). Finished just in front of Grey Destiny when fourth to Masquerade Bling over 7f here recently.
Seven race maiden who went closest when a 1¼L runner up to Concur over 6f at Redcar in May. Fairly solid without improving immediately thereafter, but less strong on his last two starts, but has slipped slightly in the weights to a career low mark.
Not shown all that much and was well beaten in a Wolverhampton maiden handicap in late July and has disappointed back on turf at Brighton since. Dropped 5lb, but needs to show some signs of encouragement.
17 race maiden, and can only be described as a mare who hasn't fulfilled her potential despite being a nice enough sort physically. Hurdling wasn't for her, but very well treated on her past Flat form, if only her trainer can cajole her into action.

A typically competitive Newcastle straight mile handicap, in which C&D winner Lozah warrants close inspection, and Jack Blane can be fancied to build upon his recent taking Newcastle debut (close second over 7f to Broctune Papa Gio). Whilst it often doesn't pay to follow the fast finishing eye-catcher, there can be no denying that GREY DESTINY is on a winning mark and was fairly luckless in the run when fifth to Masquerade Bling over 7f here earlier this month (Mr Coco Bean fourth, Excellent Story eleventh). Furthermore, he could quite possibly be stronger still over this trip having twice filled the runner up spot from similar marks over C&D since the introduction of Tapeta at Newcastle in May 2016.
- Grey Destiny
- Mr Coco Bean
- Lozah
