Verdict

Roger Charlton rarely sends any runners to Newcastle (1 from 2 in the past five years), so it is potentially interesting that RASMEE becomes his first representative on Tapeta at Gosforth Park. That said; the four-year-old who is unexposed in handicaps was one of the more interesting runners in any case on the strength of his decisive C&D maiden success for previous trainer Marco Botti in October 2016. Newmarket trainer Tom Clover also saddles his first ever Newcastle AW runner with Monsieur Glory, and this improving four time winner looks the chief threat having been given a relatively fair looking 3lb rise for his latest victory at Bath.
