Winner here over 2m4f in June off a 7lb lower mark under today's pilot he ran one of his lesser races last time out taking a strong hold (also lost a shoe) and was pulled-up at Southwell. Back here at a shorter trip off a short break.

Has shown some useful form over hurdles and underlined that form with a C&D win in a novice last time out (first-time tongue tie on). Cruised clear on that occasion to justify favouritism and should be able to cope with his initial 135 chase mark.

Made a good start to his chasing career with wins at Perth and Stratford taking small field novice chases and has run with credit in two races since. Made his handicap chase debut last time over C&D and ran respectably and should make his mark here.

Straightforward and likeable sort who already looks better over fences than he did over fences and made it 2/2 making all at Stratford last time. Up another 7lb here but may do better still and dangerous if he is allowed to lead.

Looked an improved model when winning over 2m1f at Stratford in May on his first try over that trip since his bumper days. Got rather hammered for that win though (raised 9lb) and although he's run well enough since he did run poorly last time.

Won over this C&D in May with the easy fences helping his often suspect jumping which has always given him problems. Kept the mistakes to a minimum last time out but always a thought that he may make one blunder too many.

Goes from 9lb out the weights here and faces no easy task having been well held last time out at Newton Abbot. Had been in good form earlier in the year but this is a tough task and he would need to replicate his form from earlier in the year to have a chance.

Forecasts

Mad Jack Mytton (15/8), Vosne Romanee (3/1), Adrrastos (7/2), Cape Caster (5/1), Altiepix (14/1), Definite Future (22/1), Lord Ben (50/1)

Verdict

Quite a treat for jumping fans on a Monday as this shapes up to be a good contest on a Worcester card that for once features more chases than hurdles races. Definite Future had been in decent form but his poor run and a step back in trip may well test him here. Vosne Romanee and Mad Jack Mytton are two youngsters that are capable of making their mark with both having already shown an aptitude for fences. Cape Caster makes too many mistakes to be considered while Altiepix could struggle again off this mark. ADRRASTOS is starting to make a name for himself over fences and with a likely easy lead he could be adding to his so far unblemished chasing record.
