Lightly-raced seven-year-old, opened his account over timber last time at Sligo over 2m½f on good ground, goes up 7lb for that success but might have a bit more to offer on sixth hurdles start.
Much improved showing on return from break / handicap debut at Ballinrobe recently over this sort of trip, finishing close third of eight. Entitled to come on a bit for that effort and lay down challenge sporting first-time tongue tie.
Disappointing here at the festival in July but gone the right way since in two runs and opened account over 2m at Tramore in soft ground 31 days ago in determined fashion. Contender for follow-up on handicap bow.
Bumper winner at Kilbeggan in June 2016, posted some decent efforts in maiden hurdles thereafter, may have needed the run at that track in July on first run this year. Not discounted making handicap bow with promising jockey booking.
Behind Dundrum Lad at Sligo last month but may have needed that run, since posted improved back there when 1L second of 12, just 1lb higher for this and is one to consider.

Is 1-18 over timber, win having coming come in a 2014 maiden at Roscommon, very poor in both starts this years and off since May. Safest to look elsewhere.
Now a nine-year-old but this handler has sparked some decent form in three starts, shed the maiden tag at Ballinrobe last month (2m1½f, good) and only just denied follow-up at Bellewstown over this sort of trip carrying an additional 9lb.
Unplaced in seven starts over timber, most recently going down best part of 10L here at the festival in July over his sort of trip. On the same mark but yard has booked champion trainer this time, watch betting.
Without a win in 13 starts over jumps / on Flat, not much in the formbook to write home about, but latest effort at Ballinrobe (beaten 4½L in fifth of eight over 2m) was a step in the right direction. Not certain to build on it.
Modest filly was well beaten around here in July (33L) and remains a maiden after 13 starts over flights. Has placed five times, that likely the ceiling of her ambitions here again.
Inconsistent gelding, without a win in nine starts so far over hurdles. Ran fair race here in July (beaten 15L) but poor again since at Bellewstown. Hard to trust.
Off the mark at the eighth attempt over timber in 2m4f good ground handicap at Killarney last time out. Carries an additional 6lb for that win but has been showing decent signs lately so not discounted.
Record reads 1-25 over flights, hasn't been disgraced when tackling this sort of trip recently, and beaten just over 5L at Clonmel this month over 2m5f. Hard to see better than place money.
Posted a pair of decent efforts at Listowel and Wexford in June over around 2m4f, has had a break since and is 2lb higher in the ratings now for this shorter trip. Worth monitoring in the betting.

Babanango (3/1), Dundrum Lad (11/2), Youngnedofthehill (7/1), Oskar High (8/1), Sparky Stowaway (8/1), Effernock Lad (11/1), Banjo (12/1), Canny Tom (12/1), Whenthewindblows (14/1), Lash It On (14/1), Kilcaragh Boy (14/1), Golden Poet (16/1), Bracklin Princess (20/1), Baby Bellini (50/1), Voluptueux (50/1), Presenting Court (100/1)
The nine-year-old Youngnedofthehill is enjoying his best spell under this handler, winning for the first time at Ballinrobe and since going close at Bellewstown under a 9lb penalty. There's a good chance he's going to remain competitive once more. Lash It On is on returns from a break but was running well early this summer and is worth noting while last time out winner Oskar High can get involved under a 6lb penalty. The booking of Walsh to partner Babanango is eye catching, while top weight isn't certain to rule out Dundrum Lad. He had EFFERNOCK LAD behind when winning at Sligo last month, but that rival may have needed the run and has since gone close back at the same track, on his third run back he's taken to land this competitive affair.
- Effernock Lad
- Youngnedofthehill
- Oskar High
