Winner of this race two years ago off a 6lb higher mark she comes back here off a break having slipped down to a mark 2lb above her last winning one. She goes well here (118263) and although she has her quirks the first-time blinkers could do the trick.
Will enjoy any give underfoot here and is the in-form filly in this race having won three of her last four starts. Burst clear at Newbury last time over a mile and looks to be thriving although she has to cope with an 8lb higher mark here.
Scored off a 6lb lower mark at Redcar in July over this trip taking advantage of a falling mark despite making a mess of the start. Tried over further and shorter since (well beaten) and may appreciate a return to this trip having scored off this mark in the past.
Irish yard that are three from four with their runners around here (1311) although this one has had a rather in and out season so far. Both runs have come over 7f with give in the ground and this mile may stretch her even round here.
Back from a break here but has shown that she can go well fresh having won her maiden at Goodwood after a seven month break. Her two handicaps run so far have posed some questions and she shaped like a non-stayer last time over a mile and may be better over shorter.
Yet to win this year but did start the season well with a good second in a big-field Doncaster handicap off a 7lb higher mark. Showed that she was still in decent form last time out at Hamilton only beaten by three in-form fillies and of interest off this mark.
Appears to struggle over this trip (0/15) at it overall and hasn't really matched the winning form she showed in May at Carlisle over 7f (had the run of the race). Not really firing of late and ran below form last time although was given a stiff task.
Forecasts
Set In Stone (6/4), Invermere (4/1), Contentment (4/1), Hidden Rebel (8/1), Midnitemudcrabs (9/1), Forever A Lady (20/1), Alexandrakollontai (20/1)
The improving three-year-old Set In Stone would be the obvious choice on form given her recent purple patch especially for an Irish yard that are no stranger to success on Scottish tracks but the ground may not be quite soft enough for her. Given that thought the suggestion is INVERMERE who is below her last winning mark and has shown some promise of late against some improving and in-form sorts. Contentment is respected but may be seen to better effect over shorter while the pick of the Whillans pair looks to be the back from a break but quirky Hidden Rebel who goes well here and is off a workable mark.
