Wins his fair share and has dropped to a fair mark on the evidence of two recent second-place efforts. Likes to attack from the front and every chance this track will play to his strengths, so respected from a good draw.
Twice a winner off this sort of mark earlier in the campaign but form has dropped off more recently. Mid-division in a stronger C&D handicap last time out and outside draw probably not ideal.
His only turf success from 14 attempts came over this C&D a year ago and, though rated only 2lb higher now, he hasn't shown much in recent starts. Low draw should aid his cause though.
Opened his account over 6f on the AW at Chelmsford in December but hasn't really kicked on from that. Mark is falling though and interesting to see him dropped to 5f for the first time with blinkers introduced.
Fancied when winning first time out over 5f on the AW in March but wasn't seen out again until July when she landed a 6f handicap at Leicester. Not ideally drawn but there may be sufficient improvement in her to defy a 5lb rise.
Just the one win (5f, good) but a string of second-place efforts to his name, including last time out when overhauled late on by The Daley Express at Goodwood. No surprise to see him figure prominently once again.
More effective on the AW than turf (5 wins vs 2) but ran a cracking race over 5f at Chepstow (good to soft) last time out when just touched off by David's Beauty. Should again feature off a similar mark.
Twice a winner for David Elsworth in his younger days and also scored over 5f for Ruth Carr at Carlisle in May (7lb higher mark). Form has dropped off since though, including on debut for this yard over C&D.
Experienced campaigner - placed in Group 3 company in his pomp - but has become increasingly hard to win with. Last of four at Brighton last time out and others look more persuasive despite a falling mark.
Did well to win twice on the AW for Jeremy Gask earlier in the year but her form has tapered off a little since and she remains winless on the turf. Not sighted for two months, she reappears for a new yard today.

Melonade (7/2), Jashma (9/2), Dashing Poet (6/1), Zipedeedodah (7/1), Lydia's Place (8/1), Monumental Man (9/1), Big Lachie (10/1), Coastal Cyclone (12/1), Merdon Castle (16/1), Taajub (20/1), Broadhaven Honey (25/1)
The unexposed Melonade could still be ahead of the handicapper despite a 5lb rise but, at the likely odds, it could pay to pass her over from such a high draw. Preference is for MONUMENTAL MAN who has been knocking on the door of late and is ideally-berthed to attack from the front. Jashma and Zipedeedodah were each touched off last time out and should remain competitive from their respective marks.
- Monumental Man
- Jashma
- Melonade
