Improved on an April debut appearance when finishing second of 10 in a Clonmel maiden hurdle on good ground over 2m3½f. Stable among the winners here this week and a big player.

Well beaten, 22L in Wexford maiden on hurdling debut, before third of 11 but beaten 37L at Ballinrobe last month. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Broke his duck at the seventh time of asking on most recent start in point-to-points, before well beaten and no impression on rules debut at Cork in April. Others make more appeal.

Below par performances in the point-to-point field doesn't muster much encouragement on rules debut. Vast improvement needed to figure in this.

Fell on latest hurdle start before slightly disappointing when well beaten as favourite, but may not have enjoyed Kilbeggan's undulations having shaped with promise at Ballinrobe on his previous start over hurdles.

Failed to complete his only start in a point-to-point and well beaten and no impression when 11th of 16 at the Galway festival, before a 12½L defeat in a Killarney bumper last month. Looks a tall order on hurdling debut.

Likes to get on with things and still tends to run a little free in some of his races. Runner-up in four of his last five starts including on stable debut at the Galway festival. Game and genuine sort who will once again run his race.

Ran a race of real promise in February over 2m3f at Clonmel when close third, though let that effort down badly back at the same track the following month. Well beaten last time out in April and others make more appeal in this.

25/1
Poor and below-par efforts in two point-to-point starts before a second-rate run on stable debut in a Tipperary bumper in May. Others preferred.

Forecasts

Turbojet (1/2), Aherlow (4/1), Veneziano Springs (6/1), Jacobs Well (10/1), Cowboy Des Long (20/1), Trojan Lass (25/1), Barneymac (25/1), Gotaway (33/1), Lough Navar (50/1)

Verdict

TURBOJET will get on with things from the front on second start for his new yard under regular jockey Mark Enright. The six-year-old does need things to drop right for him but he can come on for a rock-solid performance last time out at the Galway festival. Aherlow, who could have the race set up for him and Jacobs Well are the biggest dangers.
  1. Turbojet
  2. Aherlow
  3. Jacobs Well
