His last win came here over shorter (6f) in a good 0-105 handicap but he's gone backwards this year after a decent reappearance run. He is becoming well handicapped though and this ease in grade may well see him run better.

Just the one win to his name this year but generally runs his race and has shaped well of late without looking like winning. Generally runs well here but life will be tough for this prominent runner drawn out in stall 12.

A dual course winner whose latest win came here on his last start over slightly further capitalising on a falling mark but overcoming trouble in-running to score. The 6lb rise for that win pushes him up to a near career high mark and more needed this time.

One of five runners from the stable in this her form is rather hard to read but she did run with credit against a couple of improvers at Musselburgh last time. That was her first run in GB for this yard and she's of interest here despite the awkward draw.

A winner twice earlier in the year (once over C&D) he looked to have lost his way after that before returning to form last time out with blinkers tried instead of the usual cheekpieces. Well drawn here if he can build on his last run with the blinkers left on.

The winner of back-to-back handicaps in slightly lesser grade over 7f in April/May he appears suited by sharp tuning tracks (has won at Catterick & Musselburgh). Form of late has been inconsistent and not helped by a failing to settle in his recent races.

Not won for over a year now but his run style (prominent) should be suited by this track and draw (stall 3). Ridden of late though (and is again here) by an inexperienced apprentice and would be suited by stronger handling.

In cracking form earlier in the year on the AW winning four times in all over this sort of trip. Has run his last two races here (with a four month gap in between) and probably needed the run last time (poorly drawn) and might do better here.

Nowhere near the form he showed last year when completing a hat-trick with wins at Musselburgh and two over C&D. Generally runs his race around here but looks to be just going through the motions at the moment with a difficult draw.

Verdict

Three of the trainers in this have multiple entries with Richard Fahey leading the way with five contenders with the best of those looking to be the well drawn RIGHT TOUCH who could well appreciate this ease in grade. Rajar and Penwortham are two others from the same yard that must be respected although the C&D form of Explain may make him a bigger danger from stall 4 especially with the blinkers on again. Calder Prince would one to be reckoned with but his chance may have been scuppered by the draw.
