FREE RANGER ran well enough on debut in a Leopardstown maiden in April, the form of which worked out well, and he might be worth chancing on his return to action. He cost 150,000 gns and should prove a capable sort in time. Shamad has shown enough potential in four outings to warrant consideration, but the ground is a concern based on an earlier Cork run. Of more interest is Kupa River, who has also gone well in maidens to now but has, crucially, shown a liking for testing ground.
