Enjoyed a productive time since winning over 2m4f here in June. This game prominent racer hasn't been able to get his head in front since, but has regularly made the frame. A 6L runner up to Miss Conway over C&D latest, but carries a massive weight.

Reversed placings with previous conqueror Miss Conway when beating subsequent Stratford winner Exitas by 1¼L over C&D last week (good to soft). More to do with extra weight, but on the premises from similar marks in the past.

In reasonable form at a low level in mid summer, winning by 2L at Southwell in July (2m good). However no major improvement more latterly and a comfortably held fourth to My Renaissance at Sedgefield (2m+ good) last week.

Broke her maiden tag when scoring by 1¾L from a reluctant looking pursuer at Cartmel in July (2m1f soft). That was just her second start over fences, but she did okay over C&D next time when third to Miss Conway (and a head behind runner up Dica).

4/1
2m3f Catterick winner (December 2015) who bounced back to form when beaten just ¾L by Romeo Is Bleeding at Worcester (2m4f good) last month. Up 3lb, but on a fair mark, and the same jockey retains the mount.

10/1
22 race maiden who continues to tumble in the weights following some laboured efforts since finishing a 4L runner up to Attimo at Sedgefield on Boxing Day (2m3f good to soft).

20 race maiden. Fairly lightly raced over fences after just three starts, but his form figures flatter him and this drop to the minimum trip of 2m means that he's likely to struggle.

Verdict

MY IDEA sprung a slight surprise when successful over C&D last week, reversing placings with previous conqueror Miss Conway. However, with reasonable form from similar marks in the past, there would appear to be plenty of reasons for suggesting that he's capable of carrying the extra weight. His trainer Maurice Barnes has enjoyed a productive spell at Hexham (6 from 25 here in the 2017/18 jumps season).
  1. My Idea
  2. Aregra
  3. Miss Mackie
