In the frame last couple of starts but in truth, well beaten on both occasions. Trip and likely ground fine but handicapper slow to relent, and unless coming on plenty from that last start, is a little hard to fancy.
Not a bad effort on the Flat latest but as many bad efforts as good ones on his card, and consistency not his strong point. Yard's struggle for winners continues too and despite conditions being fine here, others make more appeal.
Has looked a different horse since being allowed to bowl along in front, and unlucky to have his pocket picked at Newton Abbot last time. Faces competition for the lead here though, which makes life harder, and hew high mark has kicked in too.
Hard to pass on a going day, as he showed with a game win over the idling Free Stone Hill over C&D last time out. Up another 5lb, and others like to lead here too, so work on if he's to follow up. Wants the rain to stay away too.
Useful performer on the Flat (rated 99) and hurdles runs to date have not been devoid of promise. Went off too quickly for his own good last time and if ridden with more restraint here, might be able to pick these off late. Looks well handicapped.
Travelled as well as anything last time out and only found the well-handicapped and improving Shanksforamillion too good. Up 2lb but will get this run to suit, and if brought through late, has every chance of going one better.
A regular here and has been kept busy lately, but taking her racing well and ran to form when third in a Mares handicap hurdle here last week. Chances but does find getting her head in front hard, and may have to settle for the places again.
Came good at Hexham in June but it was only a seller, and he's found life harder since. Purchased by current yard after finishing second in another seller at Market Rasen last time, and may find this just too difficult.
Yet to win in 12 starts but was showing some improved form when last seen, staying on from the rear to finish in the places at both Taunton and Exeter. Not out of this if fit on reappearance after a break, and market may guide.

Captain Morley (15/8), Hallings Comet (4/1), Solstalla (6/1), Maximus Maridius (7/1), Prussian Eagle (7/1), Itshard To No (8/1), Berry De Carjac (10/1), Bobble Emerald (16/1), Hollywood Ken (25/1), Towering (33/1)
No shortage of pace on here, with Ivors Queen, Hallings Comet and Berry De Carjac all in attendance, and they may set it up for somethong to come off the pace. The two that make the most appeal on that score are MAXIMUS MARIDIUS and Captain Morley, with preference for the former, who bumped into a well treated one last time out. It's possible that Captain Morley might pose a similar problem here, as he's well treated on his Flat form, but he can come out on top. Itshard To No can't be discounted either.
- Maximus Maridius
