Half-sister to the useful middle distance winner Oasis Charm, so her breeding suggests she'll do better over further. However, no obvious signs of promise on debut at Yarmouth in mid June (6f) and needs to return stronger for the break upped to 7f.
7,000 gns yearling who showed improvement when just over 1L third to No I'm Easy in a 6f Thirsk novice stakes last month. Clearly outperformed market expectations, and gave reasons to believe that this 7f trip will suit.
Well beaten on debut at Thirsk last month (and comfortably held by Champarisi). Cost just 800 gns as a foal and 3,000 gns yearling so easily bypassed.
Iffraaj filly whose dam Janicellaine was a half-sister to the 1m Group 1 winner Chriselliam. Posted a promising debut when fourth of ten at Ayr last month to Affina (7f good).
Scat Daddy filly out of Valiant Girl who finished down the field (ninth of ten) on debut at Newbury (6f soft) last month. Bred to do better over further, and this sounder surface is a likely plus as she steps up to 7f.
Made the frame in a Tapeta seller (6f Wolverhampton) and a Polytrack claimer (7½f Deauville) on her last two starts, but requires an improved effort (in a maiden) if to be involved once more.
Wootten Bassett filly who saw her sales price rise (€77,000 juvenile). Comfortably beaten by more experienced stablemate Queen Penn on debut at Hamilton (6f good-to-soft) last month, but fourth placed Sulafaat could frank that form earlier tonight.
Unraced €47,000 yearling by Epaulette out of Sweet Kristeen. A half-sister to four winners including Rule Breaker and Cliche. This trip represents an ideal starting point, and one to watch closely for market support.
Unraced €38,000 juvenile by Kodiac out of Cat Fire (who herself was a 6f juvenile winner). Second foal who might prove sharper for this experience.
42,000 gns yearling by Kyllachy out of Sharp Relief. Implied that improvement was most likely when sixth of 11 on debut to Quargent at Kempton (7f). This stiffer track could play to her strengths being a half-sister to winning stayer Calvinist.
Finished mid-pack on debut at Yarmouth last month (6f good-to-firm) in a race won by Zain Hana. Upped in trip for her AW debut, which given that never nearer finish would appear a most logical next step.
Forecasts
Chrisellaine (3/1), Grise Lightning (7/2), Sharp Reminder (5/1), Daddys Poppit (11/2), Shesaidyes (15/2), Champarisi (10/1), North Bay Sunrise (25/1), Military Madame (25/1), Alacritas (33/1), Formiga (40/1), Chef United (150/1)
A potentially interesting and open looking maiden. A number of these runners appear more than capable of building upon their limited experience so far, and these include the once raced quartet of Daddy's Poppit, Grise Lightning, Sharp Reminder and Shesaidyes. However, whilst fearful of any significant market move for the newcomer Military Madame, it is the Charles Hills trained CHRISELLAINE who made the most significant impression on her debut at Ayr. Furthermore, her pedigree very much catches the eye, and if able to settle a fraction more easily with that initial freshness now out of her system, she should prove strong stamina wise over this demanding 7f for PJ McDonald.
- Chrisellaine
- Shesaidyes
- Military Madame
