Distance winner on debut at Clonmel in February 2016. Only raced once last season when second of seven in a Limerick hurdle on heavy ground in December last year.
Jumping was his undoing when falling at Kilbeggan on chase debut in June and has followed that up with two mistake-ridden performances since. Those short-comings will no doubt have been addressed by the champion trainer and better expected here.
Interesting return for the gelding thought good enough to run in the Supreme novices hurdle at Cheltenham in the spring. From a strong trainer/jockey combination.
Winning point-to-point gelding and pretty much, all-round consistent in that field but well beaten on chase debut at Killarney last month.
Second-rate maiden hurdler and a well beaten 66L on chasing debut at Killarney last month. Difficult to see what improvement first-time blinkers will bring.
Well beaten in both point-to-points and hurdles and simply looks to have too much on here on second chase start after failing to complete at Punchestown in April.
Has produced some rock-solid and concrete chasing performances in the spring and more recently last month. Can be expected to take a leading role here.
15-race gelding under rules and has failed to complete in his last four starts including on chasing debut when falling at Ballinrobe.
Now a 13-race maiden who has failed to muster any encouragement over hurdles. Others preferred on chasing debut.

Capital Force (11/10), Bamako Moriviere (11/4), Roconga (4/1), Alto Esqua (11/2), Inis Meain (20/1), Rebelion Boy (25/1), Well Joey (33/1), Hand Of The King (50/1), Checker Hill (66/1), The Dack's Man (66/1), Linkup (66/1)
Bamako Moriviere jumping is to be taken totally on trust with two of his last three defeats solely down to mistakes. The Henry De Bromhead-trained Capital Force is sure to make his presence felt during the race under Davy Russell, but the consistent seven-year-old ROCONGA can build on a number of rock-solid performances to take the honours here.
