Landed a nice planned touch at Hexham on his debut when well backed from double-figures to favouritism and won well, quickening up smartly. Has to carry a penalty here but may well be able to overcome that impost.

Showed a bit more on his second start over a longer trip than on his debut at Galway when taking the runner-up spot at Downpatrick. Looked to get outpaced at various stages on his last start and this track may be sharp enough for him.
Nothing special if the form of his point-to-point win is taken at face value although the runner-up has won since. Makes his debut now under Rules for a yard that only have a 7% strike-rate in this sphere.

Joined a yard that have a decent enough strike-rate over the past five seasons in the sphere (20%). However, it did take him long enough to get off the mark in point-to-points and may need this on his debut under Rules.

Might take a step forward here after his debut at Hexham but has plenty to do with Buy Mistake on that running and a place may be the best he could hope for.

From a very capable yard but they are yet to have a bumper winner and this one who cost €32,000 as a three-year-old is best watched here.
Finished tailed off in a bumper here on her debut two years ago but showed more on her reappearance in the same race two years on. Kept on well in that race, although she looks as though she will be suited by further and a little more time.

Forecasts

Boris Grishenko (8/11), Buy Mistake (3/1), Chanceanotherfive (5/1), Boy's On Tour (16/1), Monsieur Bagot (25/1), Mick's Wish (40/1), Solway Berry (40/1)

Verdict

Boris Grishenko looks as though he’s an improving sort and stepped up on his debut last time out when finishing runner-up to a useful and well backed sort and he has to be respected given who trains him. However, BUY MISTAKE may well be a useful recruit to bumpers and could well overcome his penalty on a track that should suit, having shown some pace on his debut. Both Boy’s On Tour and Chanceanotherfive come from yard’s that can have winner in this sphere with Solway Berry another one who is steadily improving and worth keeping an eye on.
  1. Buy Mistake
  2. Boris Grishenko
  3. Solway Berry
