15-race maiden including 12 over hurdles. Beaten 11L into sixth on debut for this yard at Bellewstown as the well-backed 10/3fav. Can be forgiven a messy Galway Festival run last time out and can take a hand here with powerful trainer/jockey combo.
Continued improvement in maiden hurdles with two solid genuine runs at Tramore and Kilbeggan when runner-up on both occasions. Distance form gives him a head start here.
Has now run three rock-solid performances over the larger obstacles over the summer and now reverts to hurdles for the first time since finishing fourth of 16 at this meeting last term.
Last seen finishing 28L behind Max Dynamite at Killarney last month. Has mainly been below par in two hurdle starts this season and others readily preferred here.
Now a nine race maiden including five defeats over hurdles. Well beaten and one paced last time out in a Sligo novice hurdle over 2m5f. Won't mind the ground and prefers this trip.
Beaten a total of 74L in two career bumpers at Sligo and Killarney. Difficult to see how the improvement required will be found by the fitting of a first-time tongue-tie and others make more appeal.
By Flemensfirth, so won't mind the ground and she cost €15,000 as a three-year-old. Promising third of 24 on debut in a Cork 2m bumper on good ground and can be expected to improve on that run.
Forecasts
Chateauneuf Du Pap (2/1), Ceide Fields (3/1), Alletrix (7/2), Cluan Dara (5/1), Crocodile Dundee (15/2), Phar Island (25/1), Oldcastle (66/1)
Could be a contested lead here with Cluan Dara and Ceide Fields vying for position in the early stages of the contest. Chateauneuf Du Pap will have plenty of supporters but hurdling debutante Alletrix and CROCODILE DUNDEE will both love the conditions, with preference just for the latter.
