Cheap buy as three-year-old, half-sister to smart chaser, Watsons Lake and hurdle winner Trimbellina. Ran too freely on debut when last of 12 beaten 39L at the Galway Festival.
Built on second at Fairyhouse in December with respectable fourth back at that venue behind subsequent Champion Bumper winner Fayonagh. Won a Tramore bumper over 2m on yielding ground and ought to run well on first start over obstacles.
Won her point-to-point debut in March but turned in a below-par performance on debut here in June. Others preferred on return from a break.
Stowaway mare related to multiple winners Hidden Cyclone, Champagne Fever and Outlander. Will need to improve on second-rate debut at Thurles over 2m in March.
Has produced unsatisfactory performances in three career starts in bumpers and others make more appeal on hurdling debut.
By Beneficial out of a Moscow Society mare. Related to genuine gutsy types Cooldine, Realt Dubh and Annacotty. Yard in good form with two winners from last three runners.
By Yeats out of a Supreme leader mare, there is plenty to like about her breeding. Won one of her two bumpers and is likely to be a warm order here.
The fitting of first-time blinkers last time out did not bring about any significant improvement at Roscommon recently. Cheekpieces return and a check in the betting is advised here.
By Oscar out of a Vettori mare well beaten on debut at Down Royal in a 2M bumper. Looks a long-term prospect.
Hasn't gotten off the mark in 21 attempts and is yet to throw down a serious challenge in any of those races. Beaten a total of 88L in her last two starts.
Well beaten and tailed off in both career bumper starts at Clonmel and Limerick in July. Others readily preferred on hurdling debut.
Has produced some consistent and genuine performances this season including a second of 12 on hurdling debut in August. Possibly left too late to challenge last time out at Down Royal and one to note from powerful trainer/jockey combination.
Unsatisfactory hurdling debut when seventh of 17 beaten 21L last month following two lacklustre performances in bumpers earlier in the season. Others preferred in tricky contest.
Forecasts
Classic Theatre (11/10), Poet Power (2/1), Osco Mosco (9/2), Bracklin Princess (16/1), Rolanna (20/1), Minnies Secret (25/1), Shantilly Lace (25/1), Whats Your Beef (33/1), Hexapod (40/1), Lakeside Pearl (50/1), Knock Na Rea (50/1), Clear View (66/1), Be Rude Not To (80/1)
Bracklin Princess is the most likely pace setter here in this tricky maiden hurdle. Classic Theatre has been impressive in bumpers so far and Osco Mosco has two solid hurdle experiences behind him. However, POET POWER is the selection and she shaped well in two bumper starts; she's taken too carry on her development here.
- Poet Power
- Osco Mosco
- Classic Theatre
