Off time: 14:50 | Winning time: 4m 24.10s

Chaparrachik¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: L P Aspell| T: Mrs A J Perrett

4/1

Placed off marks in the 70's at up to 2m on the Flat including at Chelmsford when third in a first time hood last month. Disappointed at Goodwood (good) subsequently and predominantly Flat orientated yard had a winner here last month.

Form:

Hi There Silver¹¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: M Goldstein| T: M Madgwick

66/1

Maiden after 12 starts on the Flat and well beaten over 1m2f at Brighton (good) in first time cheekpieces when last in action back in May. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.

Form:

Il Sicario^p1²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: James Davies| T: W G M Turner

25/1

Successful twice on the Flat for Mark Johnston including in a Leicester claimer over 1m2f on good-to-firm ground in June. Fair effort when 23L fifth on hurdling debut for this yard last month and wears cheekpieces for the first time today.

Form: 5

Kereman²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton

6/1

Unraced for Dermot Weld and finished fourth on both outings for this stable so far. Most recent of those came at Newton Abbot (good) last month and represents a yard in good form at present (6/21).

Form: 44

Lord E⁷⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: J E Moore| T: G & J Moore

14/1

Modest maiden on the Flat but placed over an extended 1m3f in a handicap at Lingfield (good-to-firm) last time out. Returning from a break today and worth a check in the market on his hurdling debut.

Form:

Tidal Watch¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Aidan Coleman| T: J & A O'Neill

14/1

Couple of good efforts in maiden company on the Flat but disappointing on handicap debut in that sphere and well held fifth on hurdling debut at Worcester (good) recently.

Form: 5

Ulysses³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-12| J: Daniel Sansom⁽⁷⁾| T: R M Beckett

8/1

Six race maiden and didn't live up to early promise when runner-up in a couple of AW maidens over 1m4f at Lingfield earlier this year. Well held over 2m on heavy ground last time out and making his hurdling debut in this contest.

Form:

Angel Of Rome³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: G Sheehan| T: R Hughes

20/1

Placed over an extended 1m in maiden company at Wolverhampton back in March but disappointing since on the Flat including in blinkers at Ffos Las (heavy) last time. Making her hurdling debut today.

Form:

Kiruna Peak^t1⁴⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien| BF

4/1

Successful in a claiming contest over 1m2f at Windsor (good-to-firm) in July and finished close up in two handicap contests subsequently. Wears a tongue tie for the first time on her debut for this yard and her first outing over hurdles.

Form:

Newt¹¹

Age: 3| Weight: 10-5| J: R Johnson| T: David Dennis

11/4

Winner over 1m5f at Bath (good-to-firm) on the Flat in June and stepped up on her hurdling debut for this yard when finishing third of seven at Worcester (good) last time out. One to note with a leading jockey booked to ride today.

Form: 63

Forecasts

Newt (11/4), Kiruna Peak (4/1), Chaparrachik (4/1), Kereman (6/1), Ulysses (8/1), Lord E (14/1), Tidal Watch (14/1), Angel Of Rome (20/1), Il Sicario (25/1), Hi There Silver (66/1)

CHAPARRACHIK was one of the best of these on the Flat and he can make a winning hurdling debut for local trainer Amanda Perrett. The selection has run well on quick ground in the past and is taken to see off the more experienced Newt who improved on her debut over obstacles when finishing third last time out. Kiruna Peak was successful twice on the Flat and she can take third on her hurdling debut.
