Grade 2 winner in his day but still on a competitive mark jhudging by his placed effort over an extended 2m here in June. Brought down at the first in the Glaway Hurdle latest, but forgiven that run. Bold chance if unscathed from that experience.
Enjoyed a tremendously successful year but is now 18lb higher in the weights as a result. Winning by 8L did him no favours last time and he now has it all to prove again from a career highest mark. This stiffer company also leaves him vulnerable.
In great form a adds plenty of spice to an already enthralling looking encounter. A 7lb hike for last month's comfortable win over C&D looks fair and very possible the gelding has a bit more to offer. Could be worth persevering with.
Another C&D winner that comes into this in great heart. Still well handicapped and has age on his side, so would be dangerous to underestimate. Gets on well with today's pilot but seems to have become accustomed to the cheekpieces though.
Mixed form since joining his current yard and has a poor recent completion rate. Looks up against it on these terms and others hold more persuasive claims.

Court Minstrel (3/1), St Saviour (3/1), Dear Sire (7/2), Caid Du Lin (4/1), Comanche Chieftain (4/1), Rossetti (13/2)
Tough to separate a few of these as each of Dear Sire, Rossetti and Court Minstrel bring solid claims going into the race. However, COMANCHE CHIEFTAIN appeals as one that still has even more to offer and the in-form gelding is forwarded as the most exciting option in a very tight one to call.
