Followed up a 1m4f Wolverhampton win with success over this trip at Salisbury (good) last time. Up 4lb for that unchallenged win and looks to have solid hat-trick claims.

Another hat-trick seeker after scoring at both Catterick (1m4f, soft) and here over 1m5f (good to soft). Raised 4lb for the latter, she looks as though this extra furlong can help find further improvement if she is as effective on fast ground.

Goes well here and has twice won over 2m at the venue. Slight drop in the weights will help, though whether there is enough pace on to bring her stamina into play remains to be seen. Would also ideally prefer it a bit slower than forecast.

A third hat-trick seeker in the field, albeit it his own bid is across both codes, having followed up a Market Rasen chase success with an Ayr handicap win (1m7f, good) last time. Up 3lb for the latter but in cracking form and should be thereabouts.

Has been runner-up here four times but never won at the track. 2lb higher than the last of his six wins, which was at Ayr last season. Behind Chebsey Beau at Ayr two starts ago and drops back in trip after a good effort last time. Not ruled out.

Has eight wins to his name split equally between here and Ayr. Trip and conditions no problem and was only just held from today's mark here over slightly shorter last time. Should go close again.

Plummeting in the weights after a lengthy losing run. Stays this far but is best on good or slower ground and she is not difficult to take on in this line-up.

Yet to win here but has run well at the track, as was the case over 1m5f last month. Well beaten in both starts since, however, and a 1lb drop does not look an obvious route to a fifth career success.

Forecasts

Brandon Castle (6/5), Canny Style (6/1), Chebsey Beau (13/2), Jonny Delta (7/1), Stoneham (8/1), Tectonic (8/1), Schmooze (20/1), Russian Royale (33/1)

Verdict

Not an easy race for punters with three of the field in Brandon Castle, Canny Style and Chebsey Beau going into this seeking hat-tricks. All have obvious claims and it would be no surprise to see any of them succeed, though the fly in the ointment could be JONNY DELTA, who loves it here and was only just held from this mark last time. Tectonic is another worth a second glance.
  1. Jonny Delta
  2. Brandon Castle
  3. Canny Style
